Leaf side: three maple leaves on a shared stem, KANADA at the top, 20 and 26 on the left and right, the weight and fineness at the bottom
The leaf side
Three leaves on one stem
A large central leaf with a smaller leaf on either side. Their stems meet at the bottom in a shared base.
Above them is KANADA, the year on the left and right, 20 and 26, and at the bottom 1 UNZE 9999 FEINSILBER.
Canada’s coat of arms also bears three maple leaves on one stem, since 1921, first in green and since 1957 in red. There, the sprig stands for all Canadians, according to the country’s heraldic authority.

The tree side
Up the trunk into the crown

The other side shows a maple from below, the view running up the trunk into the branches. Behind it are maple leaves, some as silhouettes, some only in outline.
On the left, in large figures, is the face value, 20 DOLLARS, and at the foot of the trunk a small coat of arms of Liberia and REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA.
The issuing country is Liberia, the coin is made in Germany, and the manufacturer is Kettner Edelmetalle. KANADA on the leaf side names the theme of the design.
The version
One design, many faces
All editions bear the same leaf side as the coin in pure silver. Colour, gilding, a hologram or a glittering background are added only afterwards.

Some coins you want to own because they are heavy. This one you want to own because it shines. The 1 oz Silver Triple Maple Leaf Carbon Blue 2026 belongs to those silver coins where classic minting craftsmanship and modern surface finishing form a surprisingly elegant combination. As a collector's coin, it is kept uncompromisingly scarce: just one hundred examples for the entire world market.
Obverse: three maple leaves growing out of the blue
The obverse shows the iconic Triple Maple design – three finely chiseled maple leaves whose veins are worked out down to the finest branching. The gilding sets them off warmly from the background, and this background has something special to offer: a deep blue carbon decor that shifts between midnight blue and radiant royal blue depending on the light. Added to this are the inscription "CANADA", the year 2026, and the indication of 1 oz 9999 fine silver. The reverse presents a mighty maple tree in fine relief work, flanked by the face value of 20 Dollars and the coat of arms of the Republic of Liberia.
Carbon texture, color finishing and gold on a single troy ounce of fine silver – this is no mass product, this is craftsmanship in a micro mintage.
Why the number 100 changes everything here
With bullion coins, weight counts. With collector editions, scarcity counts. And that is exactly where this rarity comes in: where common year issues are minted in the hundreds of thousands, this limitation ends after the hundredth example. Whoever owns one holds a piece in their hands that is simply hardly ever offered on the secondary market. This very low mintage is the reason why such editions are regularly in high demand among collectors – and why they so rarely reappear in well-stocked display cases once they have been acquired.
Minting quality: what Proof really means
Proof is the most demanding quality a mint can deliver. Multiply polished dies, carefully prepared blanks, each coin handled individually – the result is mirror-bright surfaces from which the matted reliefs stand out in sharp relief. Compared to Brilliant Uncirculated or a matte proof finish, the surface appears significantly deeper and higher in contrast. The color finishing and gilding build on this without obscuring the sharpness of the minting.
A comparison is worthwhile
- The classic Silver Maple Leaf from Canada scores as a bullion coin with worldwide tradability and high liquidity – it is the steady performer in any portfolio.
- The Triple Maple editions issued in larger quantities offer the same design theme, but without the exclusive color and gold finishing of this edition.
- This Carbon Blue variant plays in a different league: it is a pure collector's product whose appeal comes from design, craftsmanship and the extremely limited mintage.
Silver – a coinage metal with a millennia-old history
Silver was a means of payment before paper money existed, and today it is also an indispensable industrial raw material – in electronics, in solar technology, in medical technology. Supply is naturally limited, while the metal itself is nearly indestructible: it does not age, it does not lose its physical properties, and it can be passed down through generations. There is also a tax aspect that many buyers appreciate: in Germany, profits from the sale of physical silver are generally tax-free after a holding period of at least one year. The fact that physical precious metal is also valued as an inflation hedge and as tangible crisis protection is a welcome side effect – however, the focus of this edition is clearly on the collector's idea.
Who this edition is made for
For collectors who build design series with special finishes. For enthusiasts of the Maple Leaf theme who think beyond the standard year of issue. And for anyone looking for a gift that is not available everywhere. The coin is delivered securely in a coin capsule, so that the sensitive Proof finish remains protected from fingerprints and scratches. With only 100 pieces, the simplest of all collector's rules applies: whoever hesitates will later just watch.
