A true masterpiece of the minting art awaits you! The Gold Wedge-Tailed Eagle 2025 in rose gold combines technical perfection with artistic brilliance. With a strictly limited mintage of only 175 pieces worldwide, this collector's coin is among the most sought-after rarities of the year.

Ultra High Relief Meets Reverse Proof – A Technical Masterpiece

The combination of Ultra High Relief and Reverse Proof finish makes this coin an extraordinary collectible. While the raised areas appear in a matte finish, the recessed surfaces shine with a mirror-like gleam – a fascinating contrast that brings the detailed design of the wedge-tailed eagle to life in three dimensions. This elaborate minting technique requires multiple striking passes and makes each individual coin a small work of art.

"With this issue, the Perth Mint has set new standards in modern coin minting. The combination of rose gold, Ultra High Relief and Reverse Proof is unique."

The Wedge-Tailed Eagle – Australia's Majestic Heraldic Bird

The Wedge-Tailed Eagle, Australia's largest bird of prey, soars across the coin's surface with impressive attention to detail. Every single feather has been meticulously crafted by the master engravers of the Perth Mint. The dynamic flight pose conveys strength and freedom – qualities that gold has symbolised for thousands of years.

Why This Coin Is So Special for Collectors

  1. Extreme Rarity: With only 175 pieces worldwide, one of the smallest mintages from the Perth Mint
  2. Innovative Minting Technique: Ultra High Relief combined with Reverse Proof – technically demanding and visually spectacular
  3. Rose Gold Alloy: The warm colouring sets it clearly apart from classic gold coins
  4. Perfect Packaging: In a premium wooden case with certificate of authenticity
  5. Appreciation Potential: Comparable limited editions from the Perth Mint have shown impressive value increases

The fineness of 916.67/1,000 corresponds to the traditional 22-carat standard, as used in other prestigious coins. The fine weight is 28.50 g. With this issue, however, the collector's value is clearly in the foreground!

Investment Meets Passion

While classic bullion coins serve primarily as an inflation hedge or crisis protection, limited collector's coins like the Wedge-Tailed Eagle 2025 speak a different language. Here, craftsmanship, rarity and precious metal merge into a total work of art. The Perth Mint, renowned for its innovative designs and highest minting quality, has once again demonstrated with this issue why Australian coins are so coveted by collectors worldwide.

The Reverse Proof technique gives the coin an extraordinary sense of depth. Viewed in the right light, the eagle seems to literally fly out of the coin's surface. This three-dimensional effect is further enhanced by the Ultra High Relief – a visual experience that photographs can barely capture.

Comparison with Other Limited Editions

Looking at earlier limited rose gold issues from the Perth Mint, a clear pattern emerges: the smaller the mintage, the higher the appreciation potential. With only 175 pieces, the Wedge-Tailed Eagle 2025 is among the most exclusive mintages of all time. For comparison: many successful collector series started with mintages of 500 or more pieces.

The combination of Australian national symbol, innovative minting technique and extreme limited mintage makes this coin a must-have for serious collectors. Whether as the crown jewel of an Australia collection, as the highlight of a bird motif collection, or as a spectacular standalone piece – the Wedge-Tailed Eagle 2025 sets new standards.
