Crystal Ocean Silver Set 2026 – five sea dwellers cut from light

  • Exclusive: This set of five is available exclusively from Kettner Edelmetalle – no other dealer carries this collection.
  • Elaborate finishing: Multi-coloured design printing, an ultra-thin gold layer and sparkling crystal-effect elements come together in several technical production steps.
  • Design: Dolphin, shark, sea turtle, octopus and seahorse – each animal appears as if faceted from aquamarine and rock crystal, surrounded by glowing coral gardens.
  • Strictly limited: Only 50 pieces worldwide exist of this edition.
  • Growth potential: Very high potential for value appreciation due to the tiny mintage and the continued strong demand for maritime designs.
  • Rarity: A complete set of this design is simply not available anywhere else.
  • Investment goal: Five times a rare collector's coin, whose strict limitation sparks great collector enthusiasm.
  • Material & fineness: 5 × 31.1 g silver in the high fineness of 999.9/1,000, additionally partially gilded and coloured.
  • Manufacturer: Kettner Edelmetalle – additionally finished afterwards in Germany.
  • Country of origin: Issuing country is the Republic of Liberia; the finishing takes place in Germany.

Five coins, one theme, one carefully composed visual world. The Crystal Ocean Silver Set 2026 brings together the main stars of the reef, each on a full troy ounce of fine silver. The basis consists of official issues of the Republic of Liberia with a face value of 20 dollars from the Sea Creatures series, minted in 999.9 fineness – subsequently artfully enhanced in Germany. Anyone who opens the set will see not an ordinary investment product, but a small underwater gallery.

✔ Why 50 sets make collectors' hearts beat faster

The decisive number is already in the title: 50. Not 500, not 5,000. A mintage of only 50 pieces means that this composition can practically never appear on the market in bulk. This is precisely what gives rise to that potential for value appreciation which distinguishes micro-mintages from standard ounces struck by the millions: few offerings meet many collectors who want to own a complete series. Anyone who has been collecting for a while knows the pattern. What was scarce from the very beginning is almost always the most sought-after item later on – and complete sets, as experience shows, tend to be broken up over the years, which further reduces the number of remaining original sets.

✔ The five designs: reef dwellers in crystal-effect style

Each coin depicts a different animal, yet all follow the same visual language. The dolphin rises in an elegant curve, its body divided into mosaic-like segments. The shark glides powerfully through the deep blue, while the sea turtle, with its finely drawn shell, seems to fly through the water. The octopus curls its arms into spiral-shaped ornaments, and the seahorse provides the delicate finishing touch. Beneath them, corals glow in violet, orange and rosé, with fine rays of light refracting in the water. Each scene is framed by a ring of set crystal-effect elements in blue and white; the rim, the inscription "20 DOLLARS" as well as the lettering "1 OZ 9999 FINE SILVER 2026" carry a warm gold tone. Please note: this refers to a crystal-effect design.

✔ Finished in Germany – step by step

The true signature of this edition is created after minting. A German specialist workshop works exclusively for Kettner Edelmetalle, combining colour application with an ultra-thin gold layer. Each step demands precision: colour areas must neither run nor overlap, and the mirrored surfaces of the Proof finish react sensitively to any touch. Important to know: the manufacturer's specification refers to the coin itself, not to the subsequent finishing process.

Some coins end up in a vault. This set, however, is meant to be turned towards the light – and that is exactly the appeal of high-quality finished collector's items.

✔ Fine silver as a solid foundation

Beneath the colourful surface lie five full troy ounces of fine silver. Silver has accompanied humanity for millennia as a coinage metal, is considered a proven store of value, and possesses intrinsic worth thanks to its widespread industrial use in electronics, solar and medical technology. Supply is naturally limited, the metal is durable, traded worldwide and liquid at all times. From a tax perspective: profits from a sale are generally tax-free after a holding period of at least one year. Many investors buy classic silver coins as an inflation hedge or for crisis protection – however, with this set the collector's aspect is clearly the main focus.

✔ Set or individual coin? A brief comparison

Individual finished themed ounces are usually issued in mintages ranging from 100 to several thousand pieces – already a limited quantity in itself. The Crystal Ocean Set, however, plays in a league of its own with its limitation to 50 units, since here it is not just the individual design that is scarce, but the complete set of five. Compared to plain bullion ounces such as Maple Leaf or Britannia, the premium is naturally higher; in return, you receive an ensemble with a one-of-a-kind character that pure investment products can never offer. The material value of the five fine silver ounces remains fully preserved regardless – and as a gift, such a set creates an impression that individual coins rarely achieve.

Secure your piece while the small quantity lasts; experience shows that such micro-mintages sell out quickly. You can find further fantastic-looking, high-quality designed exclusive collector's coins here.
