Baby Fox 2026 – 0.16 g Fine Gold, Bursting with Joie de Vivre

  • Strictly limited: Only 500 pieces worldwide exist of this edition. The mintage is firmly capped.
  • Investment gold as the foundation: 1/200 ounce of pure gold. Its value is based primarily on the fine gold it contains and moves in line with the gold price.
  • Perspective: Alongside the metal value comes scarcity. The small mintage gives the coin additional value appreciation potential.
  • Rarity with substance: Unlike a classic collector's coin, what counts here is not the design alone, but the minted fine gold. A genuine rarity with tangible counter-value.
  • Minting quality: Struck in Proof, the most elaborate minting technique with a mirrored field and frosted relief.
  • Design: A fox cub rolls onto its back laughing amid clover and wildflowers, while autumn leaves and pine cones dance down around it.
  • Material / Fineness: Fine gold with a purity of 999.9/1,000. Four nines mean gold in its purest commercially available form.
  • Manufacturer: Exclusively issued by Kettner Edelmetalle.
  • Country of origin: Germany. The issuing country is the Republic of Liberia, with a face value of 25 dollars.

Small, but mighty. With the 1/200 ounce Gold Baby Fox 2026 you acquire fully-fledged, physical investment gold: minted fine gold whose value is based on the gold price. The playful little fox gives the coin its personal touch, while the metal provides the substance. Among our gold coins, this gold coin is one of the most accessible ways to incorporate 1/200 ounce of fine gold into your own wealth building, step by step.

500 Pieces – and Not One More

A very low mintage like this one is the exception for gold coinage. Exactly 500 coins were fixed. By comparison: world-renowned bullion coins such as the Krugerrand or Maple Leaf are re-minted year after year in large quantities. This limitation makes the Baby Fox one of the scarcest small-format mintages of the 2026 vintage at Kettner Edelmetalle.

Gold is inherently scarce in any case. Supply is limited and cannot be multiplied at will, quite unlike paper money, which central banks can print as needed. A strictly limited mintage underscores this characteristic once again, in miniature.

A Fox Cub in Autumn Bliss

The obverse shows a young fox that has playfully thrown itself onto its back. The front paws are bent, one hind paw stretched into the air, its little mouth wide open: you can almost hear it giggling. Its fur appears dense and fluffy, the fine whiskers are carefully rendered, and the bushy tail curves elegantly around its body. Clover leaves and small blossoms sprout beneath it. Above it, autumn leaves and two pine cones whirl through the air. On the left is the face value "25 DOLLARS", and along the bottom edge the inscription "BABY FOX".

The reverse brings together a small woodland gathering. A squirrel sits waving on an oak branch, surrounded by acorns and jagged leaves. Below, a young fox and a wolf cub look up at it, framed by fern fronds. Struck into the coin are the year of issue 2026, the issuing nation "Republic of Liberia", and the inscription "1/200 OZ FINE GOLD 9999". Incidentally, the Baby Wolf carries the same reverse. Both coins belong to the "Animals on Land" series.

Proof Quality on 14 Millimeters

Small surface, big impact. At a diameter of 14.00 mm, the Proof strike unfolds remarkable depth: the field of the coin shines like a mirror, while the fox, foliage, and lettering stand out in a frosted finish. Depending on the angle of light, the field shifts from almost black lustre to warm golden yellow. The edge is reeded.

The coin is supplied in a coincard, where it sits protected in a round capsule. The front of the card bears the title "The Young Fox" and shows a reddish-brown cub lying on mossy forest ground, gazing up at the full moon. On the back, a fox family sleeps huddled closely together, below which is the motto "The greatest strength rests in the smallest things." It would be hard to describe a 1/200 ounce coin more fittingly. Shipping is carried out as insured value shipping.

A Gold Investment That Starts with Small Steps

Gold is the oldest currency in the world. Even in ancient Egypt it served as a unit of measure in trade, and for over 6,000 years it has proven itself as a store of value. Its value has never fallen to zero, because it possesses intrinsic worth. Many know this precious metal as an inflation hedge or as crisis protection. With the Baby Fox, the focus is above all on building wealth carefully and step by step:

  • Entry with a small budget: Small amounts of gold add up over the years to form a substantial fortune.
  • Tradable worldwide: Fine gold is internationally recognized and can be sold again at any time.
  • Flexible when selling: Instead of giving up one large unit, you can sell exactly the amount you need, whenever you need it.
  • Tax-attractive: Profits from the sale of physical gold are generally tax-free after a holding period of at least one year.
  • Value for generations: Gold retains its physical properties permanently and can easily be passed down.

The 1/200 Ounce in Comparison

Anyone starting out directly with a 1/10 ounce or a full ounce ties up a considerably higher amount right away. The 1/200 ounce noticeably lowers this threshold. To be candid: with such small denominations, the premium per gram is naturally higher than with large bars, since minting and processing require significant effort even on a small surface. In return, you receive an elaborate Proof strike, a strictly limited mintage, and full flexibility when it comes to selling later. Compared to a plain 1-gram gold bar, the Baby Fox also scores with its official face value as legal tender of Liberia.

Give the Gift of a Genuine Gold Investment

A baby fox rolling joyfully in the clover suits any new chapter in life. Give the gift of genuine investment gold for a birth, a christening, or a birthday. Despite the personal occasion, the recipient receives fully-fledged investment gold whose value is based on the gold price. So not just a keepsake, but the first building block of a fortune that can grow along with the years.
