Noah’s Ark 2026
A morning at Ararat, struck in gold.

Design side: the ark on the waves, in the foreground a dove with an olive branch, behind it a mountain with two peaks and the rising sun, around it NOAH’S ARK and an Armenian inscription
The mountain
Visible from Yerevan
Anyone who comes to Yerevan can see Ararat rising in the distance. Many houses in the city are built of pink tuff, compacted volcanic ash. At sunrise and sunset, their colour glows brightest.
The mountain is over 5,100 metres high and today lies in Turkey. Beside its main summit stands Little Ararat. On the coin, too, the mountain has two peaks.
The design side
The dove flies towards the ark

In the centre, the ark drifts on the waves, a ship of planks with small windows and a superstructure like a house. From the left comes the dove with outstretched wings, an olive branch in its beak.
Behind it, the sun rises between the two peaks, and its crown of rays fills the whole upper part. Along the top runs the Armenian inscription, and at the bottom right stands NOAH’S ARK.
The design is by Eduard Kurghinyan. It refers to the account of the ark coming to rest on the mountains of Ararat.
The value side
The mountain appears twice on every coin

The value side bears the national coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia. An eagle and a lion support the shield, and at its centre, as the Constitution lays down, stand Mount Ararat and Noah’s Ark.
So every Noah’s Ark coin bears Ararat twice: small in the coat of arms and large as a landscape behind the ark.
The coat of arms goes back to a design by the architect Alexander Tamanian and the painter Hakob Kojoyan.
The first bullion coin of the Central Bank of Armenia
It is issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, which calls the ark the most expressive symbol of Armenian history. In Armenia, the coin is legal tender at its face value.
It is minted in Germany, by Geiger Edelmetalle AG. To the left of the coat of arms is the mint mark, LEV, to the right the weight and fineness, and below the coat of arms the face value in drams and the year.

25000 DRAM and the year 2026

25,000 at most, per size and year
The Central Bank limits Noah’s Ark in gold to this number.
Each gold coin lies, together with a serially numbered certificate of authenticity, in a security capsule that cannot be opened without destroying it.
The drawing on the certificate changes every year: in 2026 it shows a wolf. The design of the coin stays the same.
The certificate bears the signatures of the governor of the Central Bank and the director of the mint.

A Story That Has Moved Generations
Are you familiar with the fascinating connection between the biblical Noah's Ark and Armenia? When the great flood ended, Noah sent out a white dove. It returned with an olive branch – the sign that the flood was over. The ark landed on Mount Ararat, Armenia's national sanctuary. It is precisely this moving scene that adorns the Gold Noah's Ark in impressive detail.
"Gold is humanity's oldest currency – and Noah's Ark symbolizes a new beginning. A perfect combination for safeguarding your wealth."
Why This Coin Is So Valuable for Collectors
The strict limitation to just 25,000 pieces makes this gold coin a true rarity. Experienced collectors know: the lower the mintage, the higher the potential for appreciation in value. Compared to mass-produced coins such as the Krugerrand or the Maple Leaf, Noah's Ark offers significantly better prospects for above-average performance thanks to its exclusivity.
Technical Perfection Meets Emotional Value
With a fineness of 999.9/1000, this coin meets the highest quality standards. The Leipzig precious metal processing facility, one of Germany's most modern mints, guarantees flawless craftsmanship. Every detail – from the majestic dove to the intricate depiction of the Ararat mountains – has been minted with the utmost care.

More Than Just an Investment – A Legacy
Gold has never lost its value. While paper money comes and goes, gold endures. Noah's Ark stands symbolically for permanence and new beginnings – just like your investment in physical gold. As an inflation hedge, gold has proven itself for over 6,000 years.
The world's largest central banks hoard gold. They know why: it is the ultimate crisis protection. Tax-free profits after a one-year holding period make gold even more attractive for your wealth planning.
Comparison with Other Popular Collector's Coins
Unlike unlimited bullion coins, Noah's Ark offers a disproportionately higher appreciation potential thanks to its very low mintage. While standard bullion coins primarily track the gold price, limited editions often develop considerable collector premiums. The combination of German minting expertise and Armenian tradition makes this coin unique.
- Significantly rarer than China Panda or Britannia
- More elaborate design than classic bullion coins
- Strict state quality control by the Armenian Central Bank
- Use of exclusively LBMA-certified raw materials
Your Chance to Own a True Rarity
With only 25,000 pieces worldwide, this collector's coin will sell out quickly. Experience shows: once the limited mintage is reached, prices on the secondary market often rise significantly.
