Heimerle + Meule · Pforzheim
Gold from the Golden City.
It began with the dust of the workshops.
Jewellery has been made in Pforzheim since the 18th century. Wherever there is filing, sawing and polishing, precious metal falls to the floor as fine dust and ends up in the sweepings.
The entrepreneur Julius Dittler founds a sweepings works, a “Kehretsanstalt”, to recover precious metal from production waste.
1845
This is the year the story of Heimerle + Meule begins. To this day, the date appears in the mark of the house.
Inside the works
From scrap to bar.

The scrap
Jewellery, coins, cutlery, dental gold and industrial residues: from these, the house recovers precious metal today.

The pour
Gold melts at 1,064 degrees Celsius, silver at 962 degrees. The melter pours the molten metal from the crucible into the mould.

The bar
At the end comes the finished bar, bearing its weight and fineness. According to the company, the fine metals used are produced in its own refinery.
A house that carries on.

1945
In ruins
On 23 February an air raid destroys Pforzheim’s town centre. The company’s building is also lost in the war. Afterwards, it makes a fresh start in the premises of a jewellery and watch factory.
1977
The Brötzinger Tal
The company moves out of the town centre to the Brötzinger Tal, a valley that had been filled in after the war, partly with the rubble of the old town. Its headquarters have been there ever since.
2010
Bars for investors
Heimerle + Meule launches its investment products division. Today, bars, boxes and cards for investors are part of its range.
2014
Good Delivery
On 3 June the London Bullion Market Association admits the company to its Good Delivery List, the register of recognised gold refiners. It has remained on the list since that day.

The bars in this edition bear the mark of Heimerle + Meule, and our name is on the packaging.
On the bar
What the marks say.
- 999.9
- The fineness in parts per thousand: out of 1,000 parts, 999.9 are pure gold.
- 1845
- The caster. Since 1933 he has been the emblem of the house. In the round stamp, he stands above the year 1845.
- melter assayer
- The one who melts the metal and the one who tests it. Next to these words stands the mark of the house.
- HEIMERLE + MEULE
- The company has borne this name since the second half of the 19th century.
From dust came a name.
Made to last.
The idea of the sweepings works lives on, too: recovering and refining precious metal has been the heart of the house since its founding.

1/100 oz Gold Bar by Heimerle + Meule – compact fine gold for your crisis protection
- Investment goal: With gold bars you protect your wealth exceptionally effectively against creeping currency devaluation.
- Value preservation: A gold bar is a proven store of value that secures the real substance of your wealth and preserves it over the years.
- Hedging: Especially in times of inflation, recession and high government debt, you can noticeably cushion risks with gold.
The 1/100 oz gold bar by Heimerle + Meule brings genuine fine gold into a particularly handy form. With around 0.31 grams of fine gold and a fineness of 999.9, this minted bar is one of the smallest gold units available at all – and that is precisely what makes it the ideal building block for your crisis protection. The value of this product is based primarily on the gold it contains and moves with the gold price. Here you are acquiring full-fledged investment gold in miniature format – minted fine gold as tangible substance, not a mere novelty.
Why small denominations are the core of any crisis preparedness
In uncertain times, one thing matters above all: divisibility. Small denominations in gold and silver can be used flexibly – as a means of exchange, as a reserve that is always at hand, and as reassuring security. A bar of this size fits into any wallet and can be carried inconspicuously while travelling, whether you are preparing for emergencies at home or want to be equipped for the worst case abroad. Anyone who spreads their gold across many small units remains able to act and does not have to sell off a large bar just because only a small amount is needed. It is precisely this flexibility that makes such products so popular for private crisis preparedness.
Protection against various crises
Gold is the oldest currency in the world and has so far outlasted every paper currency. It offers protection against political and economic crises, serves as a hedge against currency risks, and is recognized worldwide as a means of exchange. It is not without reason that central banks around the globe hold large gold reserves. As a solid building block for inflation hedging, physical gold preserves the purchasing power of your wealth while printed fiat money loses value. Gold has never had a value of zero – it possesses an inherent, intrinsic value that has endured for thousands of years.
Heimerle + Meule – Germany's oldest refinery
The bar is produced by Heimerle + Meule, founded in Pforzheim in 1845 and thus Germany's oldest gold and silver refinery. The traditional company belongs to the Lübeck-based Possehl Group and is certified for Good Delivery by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) – a seal that guarantees globally recognized quality and unrestricted tradability. On the obverse, the minted bar bears the details 1/100 oz, FINE GOLD and 999.9 as well as the classic smelter emblem with the year 1845 and the assay mark \"melter assayer\". This allows you to identify the origin and purity of your fine gold at a glance.
The ideal entry point – and the connection to larger bars
Anyone wishing to build up physical gold in small steps is well advised with this 1/100 oz bar. Later on, your own holdings can be conveniently supplemented with further denominations: Heimerle + Meule offers its gold bars in, among others, 1 gram, 5 gram, 10 gram, or classic troy ounce bars. In this way, your holdings grow gradually, according to your budget. Percentage-wise, the premium on very small units is indeed higher than on a large bar – but in return you gain a maximum degree of divisibility and flexibility, which in crisis preparedness often carries more weight than the pure material price.
Securely packaged in the RFID blocker card
The gold bar is housed in an elegant black-and-gold RFID blocker card from Kettner Edelmetalle in a practical credit-card format. It permanently protects the Brilliant Uncirculated bar and makes storage in your wallet particularly inconspicuous. The design is clean and high-quality, featuring the golden Kettner logo and the motto \"Real money, for 6,000 years.\" This way, you combine lasting value preservation with maximum discretion.
Gold is a scarce commodity with limited supply – and it is precisely this that makes it a reliable store of value, preserving wealth across generations.
Give investment gold as a gift – for any occasion
Whether for a christening, a birthday, or a wedding: with this bar, you are not giving a mere present, but genuine investment gold whose value tracks the gold price. Small amounts of gold add up over the years to a considerable fortune – a well thought-out entry into physical gold investment that can also be passed on in this form as an investment. Anyone who starts today with 1/100 oz lays the foundation for a solid gold reserve that can be resold at any time. Thanks to their well-known brand and LBMA certification, gold bars from Heimerle + Meule can also be easily bought and converted back into cash worldwide.
