The constellation in the sky

Hamal, the lamb.

The brightest star of Aries is called Hamal, after the Arabic word for lamb.

In Greek times the sun stood in Aries at the start of spring. That is why the zodiac begins with Aries.

Details of the coin’s product image

The path of the sun

Twelve sections of a year.

Aries is the first of the twelve sections.

Seen from the Earth, the sun travels once around the sky against the stars over the course of a year, along the ecliptic.

The signs divide this path into twelve equal sections of 30 degrees each, counted from the vernal equinox point, the position of the sun at the start of spring. The constellations of the same names differ in size.

Because the Earth’s axis slowly turns like a spinning top, once in about 26,000 years, the vernal equinox point has moved by about 30 degrees since the Greek Hipparchus. Signs and constellations are therefore offset today by about one constellation.

For more than 2,500 years

In cuneiform, in books, on clocks.

  1. BabylonThe cuneiform series MUL.APIN, preserved in copies from the 7th century BC onwards, names 17 constellations along the ecliptic.
  2. PtolemyAround AD 150, Ptolemy gathered more than a thousand stars into 48 constellations in the Almagest. At its core, our system today is his.
  3. Très Riches HeuresIn the book of hours of the Duke of Berry, now in Chantilly, each month’s picture shows the two zodiac signs of the month at the top.
  4. PragueThe astronomical clock has stood on the Old Town Hall since 1410, today with calendar, zodiac and clock.

One ounce of silver, with a diamond.

The obverse shows in the centre a sun with a face and a crescent moon, around them clouds, a mountain, flames and waves. Top right reads 20 DOLLARS, below are the coat of arms of Liberia and 9999 FINE SILVER 2026.

Among the small stars of the reverse sits a diamond like one more star, visible in the magnifier above.

  • Minting quality: Highest possible minting quality "Proof" (PP)
  • Growth opportunities: Considerable value appreciation potential due to strict limitation
  • Rarity: Extremely rare collector's coin with unique diamond setting
  • Design: Powerful Aries in dynamic pose against a mystical starry sky with a genuine diamond
  • Manufacturer: Kettner Edelmetalle
  • Country of origin: Germany

This extraordinary silver coin combines astrological symbolism with the highest minting artistry. The majestic Aries – the first sign of the zodiac and a symbol of courage, energy, and new beginnings – has been struck in purest silver with breathtaking attention to detail. A genuine diamond, embedded in the sparkling starry sky, makes this coin a true treasure for discerning collectors.

The Obverse: A Masterpiece of Minting Art

What a sight! The powerful Aries gallops through a mystical starry sky with curved, spiral-shaped horns. Its muscles tense beneath the intricately detailed fur as it leaps over blazing flames – a perfect symbol for this zodiac sign's fire element.

Particularly impressive: the genuine diamond that sparkles in the starry sky, lending this rarity an additional dimension. The surrounding German inscription "DIE STERNE WEISEN DEN WEG, DOCH DAS SCHICKSAL LIEGT IN DEINEN HÄNDEN" ("The stars show the way, but fate lies in your hands") underscores the philosophical depth of this collector's item. At the top edge are the words "WIDDER" ("ARIES") and "MUT & ENERGIE" ("COURAGE & ENERGY").

The Reverse: Cosmic Harmony of the Elements

The reverse reveals an equally fascinating work of art. At the center, the sun and moon merge into a mystical unity – a timeless symbol of the duality of the universe. Around it, the four elements unfold in artfully designed quadrants:

  1. Clouds symbolize the element of air
  2. Majestic mountains represent the earth
  3. Rolling waves embody water
  4. Flickering flames stand for fire

All twelve zodiac sign symbols frame this cosmic depiction along the outer edge. The inscription "ZWÖLF ZEICHEN • VIER ELEMENTE • EIN UNIVERSUM" ("TWELVE SIGNS • FOUR ELEMENTS • ONE UNIVERSE") sums up the profound message.

Technical Perfection in Purest Silver

With a fineness of 999.9/1,000, this coin ranks among the purest silver coins on the market. The fine weight of exactly 31.10 grams corresponds to a full ounce – the international standard for precious metal coins. The Proof minting quality creates mirror-like surfaces and matte reliefs that produce a breathtaking contrast.

"The stars show the way, but fate lies in your hands" – This wisdom not only adorns the coin but also reflects the philosophy of conscious collecting.

Why This Collector's Coin Is So Sought After

The strictly limited mintage of only 5,000 pieces worldwide makes this coin a true rarity. For collectors of zodiac designs, lovers of astrological art, or those born under the sign of Aries, this piece represents a unique opportunity. The value appreciation potential is considerable due to the limited availability and high demand for such collector's items.

Silver has proven itself as a store of value for thousands of years. It serves as an inflation hedge and offers crisis protection in uncertain times. Profits from the sale are tax-free after a minimum holding period of one year – a further advantage for collectors with a long-term orientation.

Perfectly Protected for Generations

Each coin is delivered in a high-quality coin capsule that protects the precious piece from oxidation and mechanical damage. This ensures that the flawless surface is preserved for generations – ideal for passing on this collector's item as an heirloom or selling it profitably one day.

Secure this extraordinary collector's coin from Kettner Edelmetalle's Zodiac series now. With such a low mintage, quick action is required!
