From the rock

Many of its skin impressions have been found.

That is how we know that scales covered large parts of its body. Its name means meat-eating bull.

No human has ever seen this animal alive: the age of the dinosaurs ended 66 million years ago, and the human genus has existed for about 2.8 million years.

Prehistoric Life Carnotaurus 2025 - An Extraordinary Collector's Coin with an Impressive Design

  • Strictly limited mintage: Only 10,000 pieces available worldwide
  • Special rarity: Fourth issue of the popular Prehistoric Life II series
  • High appreciation potential due to exclusive limited edition
  • Fineness of 999.9/1000 finest silver

The new collector's coin from the Prehistoric Life II series presents the Carnotaurus, one of the most fascinating predatory dinosaurs of the Cretaceous period. These premium silver coins combine several important aspects: they serve as a valuable inflation hedge and crisis protection, while simultaneously offering considerable collector potential thanks to their extremely low mintage of only 10,000 pieces.

Impressive Design from Prehistoric Times

The dynamic design of the coin depicts a spectacular hunting scene: two imposing Carnotaurs, instantly recognisable by their characteristic forehead horns, pursue four smaller dinosaurs through a prehistoric landscape. The highly detailed design conveys the immense scale of these predatory dinosaurs, which measured up to 9 metres in length and roamed the Earth approximately 72 to 69.9 million years ago.

Technical Details and Coin Quality

  • Fine weight: 31.10 grams (1 ounce) of purest silver
  • Diameter: 39.00 mm
  • Face value: 20 Francs (Democratic Republic of Congo)
  • Coin quality: Brilliant Uncirculated in the highest collector quality
  • Delivered in a protective coin capsule
The name Carnotaurus translates as "flesh-eating bull" – an apt description for this formidable predatory dinosaur, whose only skeleton discovered to date was found in Argentina.

Investment with Future Potential

This rarity combines several important aspects for collectors and investors alike: the intrinsic value of the precious metal silver, the high coin quality, and the strict limited mintage. It is precisely the low mintage that makes this coin a promising investment with considerable appreciation potential. You also benefit from the VAT reduction on silver coins and the tax exemption after the one-year speculation period.

The Prehistoric Life II series has already established itself as a popular collector's series, with previous issues now trading in some cases significantly above their original issue price. This fourth issue of the series promises to continue this success story.
