Leaf side: three maple leaves on a shared stem, KANADA at the top, 20 and 26 on the left and right, the weight and fineness at the bottom
The leaf side
Three leaves on one stem
A large central leaf with a smaller leaf on either side. Their stems meet at the bottom in a shared base.
Above them is KANADA, the year on the left and right, 20 and 26, and at the bottom 1 UNZE 9999 FEINSILBER.
Canada’s coat of arms also bears three maple leaves on one stem, since 1921, first in green and since 1957 in red. There, the sprig stands for all Canadians, according to the country’s heraldic authority.

The tree side
Up the trunk into the crown

The other side shows a maple from below, the view running up the trunk into the branches. Behind it are maple leaves, some as silhouettes, some only in outline.
On the left, in large figures, is the face value, 20 DOLLARS, and at the foot of the trunk a small coat of arms of Liberia and REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA.
The issuing country is Liberia, the coin is made in Germany, and the manufacturer is Kettner Edelmetalle. KANADA on the leaf side names the theme of the design.

There are coins that one admires at leisure – and there are coins that one turns toward the light again and again, because they look different every time. The 1 oz Silver Triple Maple Leaf 2026 in the "Black Iced Out" design belongs to the latter category. Canada's iconic emblem, the world-famous maple leaf, meets black glitter and warm gold here. And in a quantity that could be counted on two hands, if counting in hundreds.
Black ice, golden foliage – the design
The obverse bears the inscription "KANADA" at the top. Beneath it, three maple leaves overlap, their veins worked out in relief down to the finest branching. The background is deep black and covered with countless sparkling dots – it is precisely this "Iced Out" effect that makes the golden leaves appear to float as if against a starry sky. The edge, the year 2026, and the inscription "1 UNZE 9999 FEINSILBER" also shine in gold, creating a warm contrast to the cool darkness.
The reverse surprises with a mighty, gnarled maple tree whose crown fills the entire design. In front of it, large leaf silhouettes stand out in deep black, along with the face value "20 DOLLARS" and the national emblem of the Republic of Liberia. Black on gold, gold on black – an interplay that is barely visible in photos but makes an immediate impression in hand.
Proof: the premier class of minting
The basis is the finest silver with 999.9/1,000 fineness, as known from the classic Maple Leaf. While standard bullion issues are produced in Brilliant Uncirculated quality, this edition is crafted in Proof quality: mirror-smooth surfaces, high-contrast reliefs, no visible processing flaws. This is followed by gold plating and the crystalline Iced Out structure – several production steps that require precision and manual craftsmanship. Each of the 100 pieces is thus a small one-of-a-kind.

A very low mintage – and what this means for collectors
"Rarity cannot be reproduced. What exists in a hundred examples remains a hundredfold forever."
The classic Silver Maple Leaf is issued year after year in the millions – its advantage lies in constant availability and a close relationship to its material value. This special edition deliberately takes the opposite path. Such a very low mintage is exceptional even among refined collector's issues, and this is precisely where its appeal lies: the quantity is final, while the collector community continues to grow. Anyone who has followed refined issues over the years knows how quickly such micro-mintages disappear from the market. For collectors, a true rarity is always more than just precious metal – it is artistic design, a document of its time, and the joy of ownership all in one.
Silver – a coinage metal with a long collecting tradition
Silver has accompanied humanity for thousands of years as a monetary metal, a symbol of wealth and prestige, and a cherished collector's item. It is durable, retains its physical properties across generations, and can be artistically refined like scarcely any other precious metal. Anyone who collects silver coins with character will enjoy this edition for a long time – and can easily pass it on to the next generation.
Furthermore, silver remains a globally traded commodity with high demand from industry, electronics, solar, and medical technology, while supply is naturally limited. Physical precious metal is also traditionally valued as an inflation hedge and as crisis protection. A pleasant side effect for collectors in Germany: under current law, profits from the sale of physical silver are generally tax-free, provided the holding period of at least one year is observed.
Secure your copy of this strictly limited edition while it is still available – with a mintage of only 100 pieces, this is not a mere phrase but simple arithmetic.
