Wolf 2026, 1/2 ounce of fine silver, reverse

On the reverse the wolf bares its teeth, its eye bright and alert, and on the obverse it stands on a rock. Its time of the year is spring, when the pups are born.

Spring · The wolf

In spring the pups are born.

Wolves usually mate in late February or early March. After about 63 days, most often four to six pups are born, in late April or early May.

“A wolf pack is a family of wolves”: as a rule the parents, their pups and the yearlings from the previous year, usually five to ten animals. At 10 to 22 months most of the young leave to seek a territory of their own and a partner.

Wolves pick up the scent of other wolves from up to two kilometres away. An average wolf with an established territory covers 5 to 30 kilometres in one night. Its typical gait is the straight-line trot: the hind paw steps exactly into the print of the front paw.

In 2000, for the first time in a long while, a pack with at least four pups was confirmed in the Muskau Heath in Lusatia.

There are coins that you buy. And there are coins that you simply must own. The 1/2 oz silver Wolf 2026 in Proof undoubtedly belongs to the second category. As part of the fascinating "Symbolism" series by Kettner Edelmetalle, this collector's coin combines the finest minting artistry with a design that truly gets under your skin – in the most literal sense of the word.

A design that won't let the viewer go

Take a look at the obverse of this extraordinary silver coin issue, and you will understand why collectors around the world are raving about it. A wolf gazes directly at you – lips drawn back, teeth bared, its stare piercing and wild. Every single hair of the dense fur has been engraved with a level of detail that is simply impressive. In the background, fir trees rise against a smooth surface, creating a fascinating contrast between mirror-like and frosted surfaces. In the lower right edge you'll find the inscription "1/2 OZ FINE SILVER 9999" as well as the year of issue 2026.

The reverse is in no way inferior. Here, a howling wolf sits enthroned on a rugged rock – majestic, powerful, timeless. Its call seems to break out of the silver itself. The face value of 10 Dollars and the inscription "Republic of Liberia" frame the scene. Here too, the geometric background pattern, with its interplay of light and shadow, sets dramatic accents.

For thousands of years, the wolf has stood as a symbol of strength, instinct, and freedom. In many cultures, it is revered as a guardian and guide – symbolism that this coin captures in impressive fashion.

Strictly limited – only 999 pieces worldwide

What makes this issue particularly desirable for collectors is its strict limitation. Only 999 pieces were minted worldwide. No more. Once these are sold out, there will be no re-minting. Period. Especially with coins in Proof quality and such a low mintage, experience shows that demand often quickly exceeds supply – a circumstance that can bring significant appreciation potential.

Why this particular coin?

For centuries, silver has been far more than just an industrial metal. It is a store of value, a medium of exchange, and – yes – a tangible piece of security in uncertain times. As an inflation hedge and crisis protection, the white precious metal has a long tradition. But this coin is about even more: it's about the passion of collecting, the joy of a work of art that you can hold in your hands.

Kettner Edelmetalle's "Symbolism" series focuses on powerful animal designs deeply rooted in human cultural history. The wolf, as the first – or one of the first – designs in this series, is a choice that could hardly have been more fitting. Whoever secures this rarity today holds not only 15.55 grams of the purest silver in their hands, but a collector's item with character and history.

Who is this coin suitable for?

Whether you already have an extensive collection or are just discovering your passion for fine mintages – the 1/2 oz Silver Wolf 2026 is a piece that should not be missing from any collection. The combination of the highest fineness (999.9/1,000), masterful minting quality, and a strictly limited mintage makes it one of the most exciting collector's items of 2026. And don't forget: profits from the sale of silver are generally tax-free after a holding period of at least one year – an advantage not to be underestimated.

Secure your piece now before the last ones are sold out. Because with only 999 pieces worldwide, every day counts.
