All four designs are made of 999/1000 fine gold weighing approximately 0.03 grams each, i.e. one thousandth of an ounce, and bear the minting year 2025. They come from the festive Christmas series of Chad and Gabon. According to the manufacturer, they were minted by Valcambi, one of Switzerland's most renowned mints. The two Gabon issues are limited worldwide to 50,000 pieces each.

From Myra to Bethlehem: the stories behind the designs

Saint Nicholas was Bishop of Myra in the 4th century. According to legend, he secretly threw gold coins through the window of a poor family so that the daughters could marry.
