Heimerle + Meule · Pforzheim
Gold from the Golden City.
It began with the dust of the workshops.
Jewellery has been made in Pforzheim since the 18th century. Wherever there is filing, sawing and polishing, precious metal falls to the floor as fine dust and ends up in the sweepings.
The entrepreneur Julius Dittler founds a sweepings works, a “Kehretsanstalt”, to recover precious metal from production waste.
1845
This is the year the story of Heimerle + Meule begins. To this day, the date appears in the mark of the house.
Inside the works
From scrap to bar.

The scrap
Jewellery, coins, cutlery, dental gold and industrial residues: from these, the house recovers precious metal today.

The pour
Gold melts at 1,064 degrees Celsius, silver at 962 degrees. The melter pours the molten metal from the crucible into the mould.

The bar
At the end comes the finished bar, bearing its weight and fineness. According to the company, the fine metals used are produced in its own refinery.
A house that carries on.

1945
In ruins
On 23 February an air raid destroys Pforzheim’s town centre. The company’s building is also lost in the war. Afterwards, it makes a fresh start in the premises of a jewellery and watch factory.
1977
The Brötzinger Tal
The company moves out of the town centre to the Brötzinger Tal, a valley that had been filled in after the war, partly with the rubble of the old town. Its headquarters have been there ever since.
2010
Bars for investors
Heimerle + Meule launches its investment products division. Today, bars, boxes and cards for investors are part of its range.
2014
Good Delivery
On 3 June the London Bullion Market Association admits the company to its Good Delivery List, the register of recognised gold refiners. It has remained on the list since that day.

The bars in this edition bear the mark of Heimerle + Meule, and our name is on the packaging.
On the bar
What the marks say.
- 999.9
- The fineness in parts per thousand: out of 1,000 parts, 999.9 are pure gold.
- 1845
- The caster. Since 1933 he has been the emblem of the house. In the round stamp, he stands above the year 1845.
- melter assayer
- The one who melts the metal and the one who tests it. Next to these words stands the mark of the house.
- HEIMERLE + MEULE
- The company has borne this name since the second half of the 19th century.
From dust came a name.
Made to last.
The idea of the sweepings works lives on, too: recovering and refining precious metal has been the heart of the house since its founding.

50 x 0.5 g Gold Bars Heimerle und Meule – 25 Grams of Fine Gold, Divided Into 50 Crisis-Proof Units
- Investment goal: With these gold bars, you shield your wealth exceptionally effectively against creeping currency devaluation.
- Preservation of value: The 50 bars act as a perfect store of value, preserving the true substance of your savings and building on it further.
- Protection: Especially during periods of inflation, recession, and high government debt, physical gold puts you on solid ground.
- Diversification: Silver bars can also protect wealth very effectively against inflation – gold's big brother and little silver complement each other perfectly in a crisis.
Fifty individual bars, each made of 0.5 g of pure fine gold with a fineness of 999.9/1,000: This bundle brings 25 g of fine weight to the scale (gross weight 25.03 g) – not in one solid block, but spread across 50 handy units. They are manufactured by Heimerle und Meule in Germany, and each bar sits protected in an RFID-blocker card from Kettner Edelmetalle. Condition: Brilliant Uncirculated new goods. The same preservation guidelines that already apply to the individual items apply to each single bar.
Crisis Protection: 50 Small Units Beat One Large Bar
When it comes to crisis protection, divisibility is what counts. Anyone who owns 25 grams in a single piece would have to hand over everything at once in an emergency. Anyone with 50 half-gram bars in the cabinet only parts with exactly the amount currently needed. That is the reason why small denominations in gold and silver are among the most popular products for various emergency situations – at home as well as abroad.
- A means of exchange with global recognition: Gold is recognized as currency all over the globe and can be traded at any time.
- Discreet on the go: Individual cards can easily be carried in a wallet while traveling, without drawing attention.
- Security at home: 25 g of fine gold in 50 parts takes up hardly any space and is quickly at hand.
- Protection against various crises: Gold has proven its worth during political upheaval, banking tremors, and currency doubts.
- High liquidity: Small units quickly find a buyer worldwide and can be exchanged for cash without detours.
Gold is real money – for over 6,000 years. It has never had a value of zero, because it possesses an inherent, physical value.
Inflation Hedge and Preservation of Value, Gram by Gram
As an inflation hedge, gold has a unique history: fiat money can be multiplied at will by central banks, while the supply of gold remains scarce and limited. This is precisely where its long-term value stability comes from. Incidentally, the largest holders of gold in the world are the central banks themselves – they hold the metal as a reserve while producing their own paper money. There is hardly a clearer signal for preservation of value.
Quality from Pforzheim: Heimerle und Meule Since 1845
Heimerle und Meule is the oldest still-active precious metals refinery in Germany, founded in 1845 in the gold city of Pforzheim. In 2014, the company was accredited by the LBMA for the London gold bar wholesale trade – meaning the bars meet the internationally recognized Good Delivery standard. The obverse clearly displays FINE GOLD 999.9, along with the traditional company logo bearing the year 1845, the weight designation 0.5 g, and the melter-assayer mark. German craftsmanship, cleanly minted, without any frills.
Bundle, CombiBar, or a Single 25 g Bar?
A single 25 g bar carries the lowest premium, but it cannot be divided. CombiBars can be broken apart, but afterward they look damaged and often lose appeal when resold. This bundle takes the third path: 50 fully independent bars, each individually in its own card, each one verifiable and sellable on its own. Anyone who deliberately thinks of gold as an emergency reserve and means of exchange is clearly better off with this division.
Tax Advantages and Storage
Investment gold is exempt from VAT in Germany. Profits from the sale of gold are also generally tax-free if the holding period is at least one year – a point that carries weight for long-term wealth building and for passing assets on to the next generation. Delivery is made as insured value shipping, discreetly packaged.
Gold is the oldest currency in the world, has shone for thousands of years, and will never lose its shine. With these 50 x 0.5 g gold bars from Heimerle und Meule, you secure 25 grams of this timeless tangible asset – in the most flexible form physical gold can take. For investors building up step by step, for collectors of small formats, and for anyone who wants to give individual cards as high-quality gifts.
