Heimerle + Meule · Pforzheim
Gold from the Golden City.
It began with the dust of the workshops.
Jewellery has been made in Pforzheim since the 18th century. Wherever there is filing, sawing and polishing, precious metal falls to the floor as fine dust and ends up in the sweepings.
The entrepreneur Julius Dittler founds a sweepings works, a “Kehretsanstalt”, to recover precious metal from production waste.
1845
This is the year the story of Heimerle + Meule begins. To this day, the date appears in the mark of the house.
Inside the works
From scrap to bar.

The scrap
Jewellery, coins, cutlery, dental gold and industrial residues: from these, the house recovers precious metal today.

The pour
Gold melts at 1,064 degrees Celsius, silver at 962 degrees. The melter pours the molten metal from the crucible into the mould.

The bar
At the end comes the finished bar, bearing its weight and fineness. According to the company, the fine metals used are produced in its own refinery.
A house that carries on.

1945
In ruins
On 23 February an air raid destroys Pforzheim’s town centre. The company’s building is also lost in the war. Afterwards, it makes a fresh start in the premises of a jewellery and watch factory.
1977
The Brötzinger Tal
The company moves out of the town centre to the Brötzinger Tal, a valley that had been filled in after the war, partly with the rubble of the old town. Its headquarters have been there ever since.
2010
Bars for investors
Heimerle + Meule launches its investment products division. Today, bars, boxes and cards for investors are part of its range.
2014
Good Delivery
On 3 June the London Bullion Market Association admits the company to its Good Delivery List, the register of recognised gold refiners. It has remained on the list since that day.

Kettner Edelmetalle Edition
Bars by Heimerle + Meule.
The bars in this edition bear the mark of Heimerle + Meule, and our name is on the packaging.
On the bar
What the marks say.
- 999.9
- The fineness in parts per thousand: out of 1,000 parts, 999.9 are pure gold.
- 1845
- The caster. Since 1933 he has been the emblem of the house. In the round stamp, he stands above the year 1845.
- melter assayer
- The one who melts the metal and the one who tests it. Next to these words stands the mark of the house.
- HEIMERLE + MEULE
- The company has borne this name since the second half of the 19th century.
From dust came a name.
Made to last.
The idea of the sweepings works lives on, too: recovering and refining precious metal has been the heart of the house since its founding.

200 x 1/100 oz Gold Bars Heimerle and Meule – Your Divisible Emergency Reserve
This bundle combines 200 minted fine gold bars of 1/100 ounce each, i.e. around 0.31 grams per piece. Together this results in a fine weight of 62 g and a gross weight of 62.06 g of the purest investment gold. The miniature bars are produced by Heimerle + Meule, the Pforzheim refinery founded in 1845 – the oldest company of its kind in Germany. Each bar bears the crisply engraved details \"1/100 oz\", \"FINE GOLD 999.9\", the historical smelter emblem with the year 1845, the \"melter assayer\" hallmark, and the lettering \"HEIMERLE + MEULE\". Each piece is delivered Brilliant Uncirculated and individually protected in a credit-card-sized RFID-blocking card.
Crisis Protection: 200 Times the Ability to Act
Why 200 tiny bars instead of one large one? Because crisis protection thrives on divisibility. A kilo bar cannot be cut apart – but 62 grams split into 200 portions can be passed on in precisely the right amount. This is exactly what makes small denominations in gold and silver the most popular products for emergency situations at home or abroad. The flat cards can easily be carried in a wallet while traveling without attracting attention. Gold is recognized worldwide as a medium of exchange, requiring no electricity, no network, and no counterparty. When payment systems falter or currencies wobble, physical precious metal remains what it has been for thousands of years: safe, accepted, and immediately usable. Anyone wanting to broaden their provisioning can combine this package with silver bars, gold coins, or silver coins likewise in small denominations – covering different price ranges in the event of bartering.
Inflation Hedge and Value Preservation: Substance Instead of Promises
Fiat money can be printed. Gold cannot. As an inflation hedge, physical precious metal preserves your purchasing power while paper currencies lose value through the constant expansion of the money supply. Gold is humanity's oldest currency, a proven store of value for over 6,000 years – and it has never had a value of zero, because it possesses intrinsic, inherent value. It is no coincidence that central banks are the largest gold holders in the world: they secure their reserves with precisely the metal they cannot produce themselves. Value preservation is clearly at the forefront of this bundle. 62 grams of fine gold represent a serious reserve that you can pass on through generations.

How Does the Bundle Compare?
Compared to a single 50-gram or 100-gram bar, the premium per gram is naturally higher for micro bars. In return, you receive something no large bar can offer: 200 independent, immediately usable units. Compared to classic bullion coins such as the Krugerrand or Maple Leaf, the 1/100 oz bars score points through their flat format and small volume – 200 pieces take up hardly any space in a safe. Anyone wanting to buy gold bars of this size is consciously opting for flexibility, discretion, and liquidity rather than the last tenth of a percent in premium.
Gold is God's money – and in 200 small portions, it becomes a reserve that is genuinely divisible in the decisive moment.
Whether as a foundation for your own provisioning, as a gradual buildup of wealth, or as a gift for birth, baptism, or wedding: this package combines German manufacturing quality with the permanence of the world's oldest money. Gold has been shining for thousands of years – and will never lose its shine.
