Heimerle + Meule · Pforzheim
Gold from the Golden City.
It began with the dust of the workshops.
Jewellery has been made in Pforzheim since the 18th century. Wherever there is filing, sawing and polishing, precious metal falls to the floor as fine dust and ends up in the sweepings.
The entrepreneur Julius Dittler founds a sweepings works, a “Kehretsanstalt”, to recover precious metal from production waste.
1845
This is the year the story of Heimerle + Meule begins. To this day, the date appears in the mark of the house.
Inside the works
From scrap to bar.

The scrap
Jewellery, coins, cutlery, dental gold and industrial residues: from these, the house recovers precious metal today.

The pour
Gold melts at 1,064 degrees Celsius, silver at 962 degrees. The melter pours the molten metal from the crucible into the mould.

The bar
At the end comes the finished bar, bearing its weight and fineness. According to the company, the fine metals used are produced in its own refinery.
A house that carries on.

1945
In ruins
On 23 February an air raid destroys Pforzheim’s town centre. The company’s building is also lost in the war. Afterwards, it makes a fresh start in the premises of a jewellery and watch factory.
1977
The Brötzinger Tal
The company moves out of the town centre to the Brötzinger Tal, a valley that had been filled in after the war, partly with the rubble of the old town. Its headquarters have been there ever since.
2010
Bars for investors
Heimerle + Meule launches its investment products division. Today, bars, boxes and cards for investors are part of its range.
2014
Good Delivery
On 3 June the London Bullion Market Association admits the company to its Good Delivery List, the register of recognised gold refiners. It has remained on the list since that day.

On the bar
What the marks say.
- 999.9
- The fineness in parts per thousand: out of 1,000 parts, 999.9 are pure gold.
- 1845
- The caster. Since 1933 he has been the emblem of the house. In the round stamp, he stands above the year 1845.
- melter assayer
- The one who melts the metal and the one who tests it. Next to these words stands the mark of the house.
- HEIMERLE + MEULE
- The company has borne this name since the second half of the 19th century.
From dust came a name.
Made to last.
The idea of the sweepings works lives on, too: recovering and refining precious metal has been the heart of the house since its founding.

50 x 1/200 oz Gold Bars Heimerle und Meule (Kettner Edelmetalle) – 8 g Fine Gold, Divisible Fifty Times
- Investment goal: With gold bars – and, complementarily, silver bars – you can protect your wealth exceptionally effectively against the creeping devaluation of money.
- Wealth preservation: Small fine gold bars act as an excellent store of value, preserving the real purchasing power of your savings and carrying it through generations.
- Protection: Especially when inflation, recession, and runaway government debt come together, you effectively protect your wealth with gold.
Fifty times genuine fine gold. Fifty individual cards, fifty independently tradable units. This investor package bundles 50x 1/200 oz gold bars Heimerle und Meule (Kettner Edelmetalle). Each mini bar carries 0.16 g of fine weight at 999.9 fineness; together this amounts to 8 g of fine gold with a gross weight of 8.01 g – not as a single piece, but finely portioned. This is precisely where the practical benefit for your crisis protection lies.
Protection Against Various Crises: 50 Units Instead of One Lump
In an emergency, divisibility is what counts. Anyone who owns only a single heavy piece of gold must hand over the entire piece as soon as they need something. Anyone who instead has access to fifty tiny bars only parts with the amount that is actually needed at that moment. Small denominations in gold and silver are therefore among the most popular products for a wide variety of emergency situations – at home just as much as abroad. The credit-card-sized cards can easily be carried in a wallet while traveling, without attracting attention.
- globally recognized medium of exchange with high liquidity
- security in the event of currency turbulence, bank closures, or blackouts
- discreet storage, inconspicuous transport, securely stored in minimal space
- fifty units can be divided up, given as gifts, or distributed across several hiding places
- a solid foundation for families building up their provisions in stages
Fine Gold from Germany's Oldest Refinery
Heimerle und Meule was founded in 1845 in the gold city of Pforzheim and is considered Germany's oldest gold and silver refinery. For gold, this traditional company holds the LBMA "Good Delivery" status – an internationally accepted quality seal that makes later resale easier for you. On the obverse you can see the historical melter figure logo with the year 1845, below it the "melter assayer" hallmark block as well as the inscription HEIMERLE+MEULE. The minting is raised and sharply engraved, and the pure gold shines in a warm, golden-yellow tone.
Each individual bar sits protected in its own card in Kettner design bearing the inscription "Real Money for 6,000 Years." This keeps the surface untouched, and each unit remains individually tradable. Shipping is carried out as insured value shipping.

Inflation Hedge and Wealth Preservation from Pure Gold
Gold is humanity's oldest currency and has outlived every paper currency. It has intrinsic value, has never been worth zero, and has served as a reliable inflation hedge for millennia. Fiat money can be multiplied at will – the supply of gold is inherently scarce. It is not without reason that the world's central banks keep filling up their gold reserves.
Despite its miniature format, what you hold here is fully-fledged investment gold: minted fine gold whose value is directly linked to the gold price and which offers lasting wealth preservation.
Mini Bars, Gram Bars, or Silver Coins – What Suits When?
A 1-gram bar provides more metal per piece but cannot be further divided. Silver coins offer a low entry price but require noticeably more space in the safe. The 1/200 oz bars deliberately sit in between: maximum divisibility combined with minimal volume. The premium on small units is naturally higher than on large bars – what you are paying for is freedom of action, and that carries significant weight in tense times.
Whether as an entry point into physical gold investment, as a staged emergency reserve for the family, or as a ready-to-hand medium of exchange for turbulent times: this package combines fine gold from Pforzheim with fiftyfold flexibility. The value lies in the metal – and gold retains its shine across generations.
