Heimerle + Meule · Pforzheim
Gold from the Golden City.
It began with the dust of the workshops.
Jewellery has been made in Pforzheim since the 18th century. Wherever there is filing, sawing and polishing, precious metal falls to the floor as fine dust and ends up in the sweepings.
The entrepreneur Julius Dittler founds a sweepings works, a “Kehretsanstalt”, to recover precious metal from production waste.
1845
This is the year the story of Heimerle + Meule begins. To this day, the date appears in the mark of the house.
Inside the works
From scrap to bar.

The scrap
Jewellery, coins, cutlery, dental gold and industrial residues: from these, the house recovers precious metal today.

The pour
Gold melts at 1,064 degrees Celsius, silver at 962 degrees. The melter pours the molten metal from the crucible into the mould.

The bar
At the end comes the finished bar, bearing its weight and fineness. According to the company, the fine metals used are produced in its own refinery.
A house that carries on.

1945
In ruins
On 23 February an air raid destroys Pforzheim’s town centre. The company’s building is also lost in the war. Afterwards, it makes a fresh start in the premises of a jewellery and watch factory.
1977
The Brötzinger Tal
The company moves out of the town centre to the Brötzinger Tal, a valley that had been filled in after the war, partly with the rubble of the old town. Its headquarters have been there ever since.
2010
Bars for investors
Heimerle + Meule launches its investment products division. Today, bars, boxes and cards for investors are part of its range.
2014
Good Delivery
On 3 June the London Bullion Market Association admits the company to its Good Delivery List, the register of recognised gold refiners. It has remained on the list since that day.

Kettner Edelmetalle Edition
Bars by Heimerle + Meule.
The bars in this edition bear the mark of Heimerle + Meule, and our name is on the packaging.
On the bar
What the marks say.
- 999.9
- The fineness in parts per thousand: out of 1,000 parts, 999.9 are pure gold.
- 1845
- The caster. Since 1933 he has been the emblem of the house. In the round stamp, he stands above the year 1845.
- melter assayer
- The one who melts the metal and the one who tests it. Next to these words stands the mark of the house.
- HEIMERLE + MEULE
- The company has borne this name since the second half of the 19th century.
From dust came a name.
Made to last.
The idea of the sweepings works lives on, too: recovering and refining precious metal has been the heart of the house since its founding.

10 x 1/200 oz Gold Bars Heimerle und Meule (Kettner Edelmetalle) – tenfold security in card format
- Investment objective: With gold bars you protect your wealth exceptionally effectively against inflation.
- Preservation of value: These bars serve as a proven store of value that secures and preserves the real value of your savings over the years.
- Hedging: Especially in periods of inflation, recession and high government debt, you hedge your wealth with gold.
- Diversification: As a complement, silver bars shield your wealth very effectively against the creeping devaluation of money.
Ten cards, ten independent units of fine gold: this bundle contains 10x 1/200 oz gold bars Heimerle und Meule (Kettner Edelmetalle), bringing around 1.6 grams of pure investment gold into your hands. Each individually minted bar bears the inscription "1/200 oz – FINE GOLD 999.9" and sits securely embedded in a black-and-gold card in credit-card format, featuring the motto "Real money, for 6,000 years." The reason to buy lies in the metal – not in the packaging around it.
Crisis protection first: ten units for the emergency case
Those who want to protect themselves don't need a single large lump, but many small units. That is exactly what this package delivers for your crisis protection: you receive ten separate cards that can be used, passed on or exchanged individually. Small denominations in gold and silver are among the popular products for a wide variety of emergency situations – at home just as much as abroad. It is not without reason that small formats of this kind are currently experiencing strong demand.
- globally recognized medium of exchange, proven over millennia
- easy to carry in your wallet while traveling, without drawing attention
- flat, sealed and therefore discreet to store
- divisible into ten parts: you only give away as much as is truly necessary
- protection against various crises – from currency devaluation to blocked payment channels
Inflation hedge and preservation of value made from 999.9 fine gold
Gold is humanity's oldest currency and has outlasted every paper currency. While fiat money can be multiplied at will, the supply of the yellow metal remains naturally limited – and this is precisely the basis of its role as an inflation hedge. The value of these bars is directly tied to the gold price. No issuer, no question of creditworthiness, no promise on paper: you hold substance. The fact that the world's central banks hoard enormous gold reserves says a great deal about this metal.
Ten small units instead of one large unit: this makes this set a flexible building block for preservation of value and the ability to act in any life situation.
Heimerle und Meule – tradition from the gold city of Pforzheim
The bars are manufactured by Heimerle + Meule, founded in 1845 and Germany's oldest gold and silver refinery. For gold, the company is listed on the "Good Delivery List" of the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) – a globally recognized quality seal that facilitates later buy-back by dealers and banks. On the minted surface you can recognize the traditional smelter figure logo with the year 1845, the "melter assayer" hallmark, and the lettering HEIMERLE+MEULE. The minting is executed with razor-sharp precision, and the fine gold gleams in a warm golden yellow. LBMA quality from Germany, in the smallest sensible unit.

Smallest bars or a larger unit?
A one-ounce or 100-gram bar offers a lower premium per gram, but is indivisible. Smallest bars carry a proportionally higher premium, but score points with flexibility, a low entry threshold and easy tradability. In a bundle, this is partly offset because you acquire ten pieces in one go. Collectors appreciate the clean presentation of the cards, while investors value the opportunity to build up a physical reserve step by step – small amounts add up over the years.
Whether as the first building block of your precious metals reserve, as a gift for a personal occasion, or as a quiet reserve in the safe: with this set you hold real money in your hands – secure, globally recognized and independent of any currency system. Ten cards, ten opportunities to remain capable of acting at the right moment.
