Heimerle + Meule · Pforzheim
Gold from the Golden City.
It began with the dust of the workshops.
Jewellery has been made in Pforzheim since the 18th century. Wherever there is filing, sawing and polishing, precious metal falls to the floor as fine dust and ends up in the sweepings.
The entrepreneur Julius Dittler founds a sweepings works, a “Kehretsanstalt”, to recover precious metal from production waste.
1845
This is the year the story of Heimerle + Meule begins. To this day, the date appears in the mark of the house.
Inside the works
From scrap to bar.

The scrap
Jewellery, coins, cutlery, dental gold and industrial residues: from these, the house recovers precious metal today.

The pour
Gold melts at 1,064 degrees Celsius, silver at 962 degrees. The melter pours the molten metal from the crucible into the mould.

The bar
At the end comes the finished bar, bearing its weight and fineness. According to the company, the fine metals used are produced in its own refinery.
A house that carries on.

1945
In ruins
On 23 February an air raid destroys Pforzheim’s town centre. The company’s building is also lost in the war. Afterwards, it makes a fresh start in the premises of a jewellery and watch factory.
1977
The Brötzinger Tal
The company moves out of the town centre to the Brötzinger Tal, a valley that had been filled in after the war, partly with the rubble of the old town. Its headquarters have been there ever since.
2010
Bars for investors
Heimerle + Meule launches its investment products division. Today, bars, boxes and cards for investors are part of its range.
2014
Good Delivery
On 3 June the London Bullion Market Association admits the company to its Good Delivery List, the register of recognised gold refiners. It has remained on the list since that day.

German craftsmanship meets timeless value stability
Heimerle + Meule – this name has stood for the highest quality in precious metals processing since 1845. As Germany's oldest gold and silver refinery, this traditional company from Pforzheim combines over 175 years of expertise with state-of-the-art precision technology. The elegant gold bar is presented in a high-quality blister card that immediately catches the eye with its black design featuring a wave-shaped pattern and golden accents.
With its compact dimensions of just 23.0 x 13.0 x 0.9 mm, this small treasure fits effortlessly into any portfolio. The smooth, flawless surface of the minted bar reflects light in a way that only the purest gold can – a sight that has fascinated humanity for thousands of years.
Why invest in gold right now?
Gold is not simply a precious metal – it is the oldest currency in the world, having outlasted all paper currencies. While central banks worldwide fire up their money-printing machines, gold retains its intrinsic value. It is the money of God, as many say, and offers you:
- Tax-free gains after just one year of holding
- VAT-free acquisition upon purchase
- Worldwide acceptance as a universal means of payment
- Perfect protection against creeping monetary devaluation
- A crisis-proof investment for your retirement provision
LBMA certification: your guarantee of the highest quality
This gold bar bears the coveted LBMA seal (London Bullion Market Association), which is recognised worldwide as a guarantee of quality and authenticity. With a fineness of 999.9/1,000, you receive virtually pure gold – a product that meets the highest international standards.
"Gold has an intrinsic value and is recognised worldwide as a currency. It is a scarce commodity with a limited supply, which leads to long-term value stability."
Flexibility meets crisis protection
The 5-gram denomination is no coincidence, but rather carefully considered. It offers you maximum flexibility with a manageable investment at the same time. In uncertain times, smaller units can serve as a means of exchange – an aspect that has repeatedly played a decisive role throughout the history of gold. Even in ancient Egypt, gold was used as a unit of measure for trade, and it has not lost this function to this day.
A closer look at the impressive details
The obverse of the bar proudly displays the weight specification "5 g FINE GOLD 999.9" together with the distinctive Heimerle + Meule logo. This clear, precise minting underscores German thoroughness and quality. The reverse bears further authenticity features that make this bar a unique piece.
The transparent plastic capsule optimally protects your gold treasure from external influences, while the elegant presentation on the blister card with the recurring "KETTNER-EDELMETALLE.DE" lettering ensures a professional look.
Your investment in a secure future
Consider this: the world's largest gold holders are the central banks themselves – a clear sign that even the guardians of paper money no longer fully trust their own system. With this 5g gold bar from Heimerle + Meule, you follow their example on a smaller scale and secure yourself a piece of genuine, enduring value.
- Perfect size for regular savings in gold
- High liquidity through worldwide recognition
- Optimally suited for wealth diversification
- Cross-generational value preservation guaranteed
- Made in Germany – quality you can rely on
This 5g gold bar is more than just an investment – it is your personal shield against the uncertainties of the future.
