Details of the coin’s product image

The path of the sun

Twelve sections of a year.

Sagittarius is the ninth of the twelve sections.

Seen from the Earth, the sun travels once around the sky against the stars over the course of a year, along the ecliptic.

The signs divide this path into twelve equal sections of 30 degrees each, counted from the vernal equinox point, the position of the sun at the start of spring. The constellations of the same names differ in size.

Because the Earth’s axis slowly turns like a spinning top, once in about 26,000 years, the vernal equinox point has moved by about 30 degrees since the Greek Hipparchus. Signs and constellations are therefore offset today by about one constellation.

Anyone wishing to combine a personal touch with real precious metal value will find exactly that here – minted gold whose price follows the world market.

The design: Sagittarius between fire and stars

The obverse of this gold coin issue shows Sagittarius as a centaur – a hybrid being of man and horse – in a dynamic archer's pose. His arrow aims to the right, his long hair blowing, beneath him flames blaze as a symbol of the fire sign. Behind him stretches a deep black starry sky with fine stars. The inscription reads: "SAGITTARIUS • FREEDOM & WISDOM • THE STARS SHOW THE WAY, BUT DESTINY LIES IN YOUR HANDS". At the lower edge sits the astrological Sagittarius symbol within a circle.

The reverse is divided into four quadrants representing the four elements – water with waves, fire with flames, earth with mountains, and air with clouds. At the center, the sun and moon merge into a double-face representation. Around the edge it reads "TWELVE SIGNS • FOUR ELEMENTS • ONE UNIVERSE", along with the details "25 DOLLARS", "Republic of Liberia" and "1/200 FINE GOLD 2026". Astrologically, Sagittarius is the sign for the period from November 23 to December 21.

Why the fine gold is the true substance

As appealing as the design is – the basis of this coin is its fine gold content. Gold is humanity's oldest currency, a proven store of value for over 6,000 years, which has never been worthless. This is exactly what makes this small coin genuine investment gold rather than mere decoration.

  • Value preservation: Physical gold protects purchasing power and can be passed down through generations.
  • Building wealth in small steps: Small amounts of gold add up over the years to considerable wealth – ideal for getting started with physical gold investment.
  • High liquidity: Gold is recognized worldwide, tradable at any time, and easily resold.
  • Diversification: A real tangible asset as a solid foundation alongside bars – from the small 1 g format to larger gold bars.
  • Growth potential: Due to the limitation to 5,000 pieces, this issue offers interesting value appreciation potential in addition to its material value.

As a tangible asset, gold is popular for hedging – as an inflation hedge against the loss of purchasing power as well as crisis protection in turbulent times. The intrinsic value of the metal remains, while paper money can lose trust – it's not for nothing that central banks are among the largest gold holders in the world.

Despite the personal occasion, what you acquire here is genuine investment gold: minted fine gold whose value is based on the gold price – not just a keepsake, but real tangible value in your hand.

Giving a genuine gold investment with a personal touch

This coin fits into the broader realm of collector's coins, but is above all one thing: physical gold you can hold in your hand. This makes it possible to give genuine investment gold as a birthday gift to someone born under the sign of Sagittarius – an asset instead of a fleeting present. The powerful archer stands for freedom and wisdom, the fine gold for lasting value. The combination of precise Proof minting, the limited mintage, and the pure 999.9 fine gold makes this 1/200 oz issue a thoughtful addition for anyone who values gold as a long-term store of value.
