With the gold issue "T-Rex 2025", gripping earth history meets pure fine gold. As small as the coin is, with a diameter of just 14 mm, its substance and true purchase rationale lie in the fine gold it contains, whose value is tied to the gold price. The design gives the issue its personal touch, while the precious metal makes it a genuine physical gold investment in miniature format. This issue joins our gold coins from the Prehistoric collection and is delivered in an elaborately designed coincard.
The design: Tyrannosaurus Rex within reach
The obverse places the king of the Cretaceous period at the center: a Tyrannosaurus Rex with wide-open jaws, clearly visible fangs, scaly skin, and a muscular silhouette. In the background, a richly detailed prehistoric landscape unfolds with trees, bushes, and grasses. The reverse gathers a whole array of further dinosaurs – from the long-necked sauropod to the Triceratops and Stegosaurus, right up to the flying pterosaur – and bears the face value as well as the year of issue. The mirrored background of the Proof finish and the matte design details create that noble contrast which makes this minting quality so sought after. Those who wish to experience the series on a larger scale will also find the prehistoric designs in the style of a Prehistoric Life series as a silver coin – the gold issue, however, remains the variant with the greatest substance.
Rarity with investment character
Gold is the world's oldest currency and has been a proven store of value for over 6,000 years, never falling to zero. This very stability is also embodied in this compact issue. As an exclusively issued collector's coin with a very low mintage, it combines two strengths: the tangible material value of the fine gold and the value appreciation potential that can arise from strict limitation and lively demand. Physical gold is tradable worldwide, can be resold at any time, and is highly liquid – qualities that make it a solid building block for wealth accumulation in small steps.
Small amounts of gold add up over the years to considerable wealth – here you acquire minted fine gold whose value is tied to the gold price.
For investors and anyone wishing to give a gold investment as a gift
Whether as an entry point into physical gold investment or as an occasion to pass on genuine investment gold for a christening, birthday, or Christmas: this 1/200 oz issue combines a striking design with the trust that gold has enjoyed for millennia. As a proven building block for diversification, physical precious metal also serves many investors as an inflation hedge and as crisis protection. With a holding period of at least one year, capital gains are generally tax-free under current law. Secure one of these strictly limited prehistoric issues while the small mintage lasts.
