Molten gold flows from the crucible into an ingot mould

Heimerle + Meule · Pforzheim

Gold from the Golden City.

It began with the dust of the workshops.

Jewellery has been made in Pforzheim since the 18th century. Wherever there is filing, sawing and polishing, precious metal falls to the floor as fine dust and ends up in the sweepings.

The entrepreneur Julius Dittler founds a sweepings works, a “Kehretsanstalt”, to recover precious metal from production waste.

1845

This is the year the story of Heimerle + Meule begins. To this day, the date appears in the mark of the house.

Inside the works

From scrap to bar.

  1. Old silver, coins and pieces of jewellery slide from a shovel into a glowing crucible

    The scrap

Jewellery, coins, cutlery, dental gold and industrial residues: from these, the house recovers precious metal today.

  2. A melter pours molten metal from the crucible, sparks flying

    The pour

Gold melts at 1,064 degrees Celsius, silver at 962 degrees. The melter pours the molten metal from the crucible into the mould.

  3. Gold and silver bars by Heimerle + Meule on slate

    The bar

At the end comes the finished bar, bearing its weight and fineness. According to the company, the fine metals used are produced in its own refinery.

A house that carries on.

  1. 1945

    In ruins

On 23 February an air raid destroys Pforzheim’s town centre. The company’s building is also lost in the war. Afterwards, it makes a fresh start in the premises of a jewellery and watch factory.

  2. 1977

    The Brötzinger Tal

The company moves out of the town centre to the Brötzinger Tal, a valley that had been filled in after the war, partly with the rubble of the old town. Its headquarters have been there ever since.

  3. 2010

    Bars for investors

Heimerle + Meule launches its investment products division. Today, bars, boxes and cards for investors are part of its range.

  4. 2014

    Good Delivery

On 3 June the London Bullion Market Association admits the company to its Good Delivery List, the register of recognised gold refiners. It has remained on the list since that day.

100g Gold Bar Heimerle und Meule (cast)

Cast bar

Every casting, one of a kind.

In casting, the bar takes on rounded edges and fine solidification lines, a little different from one bar to the next.

The company calls its cast bars a classic: compact in shape and a pleasure to hold.

On the bar

What the marks say.

999.9
The fineness in parts per thousand: out of 1,000 parts, 999.9 are pure gold.
1845
The caster. Since 1933 he has been the emblem of the house. In the round stamp, he stands above the year 1845.
melter assayer
The one who melts the metal and the one who tests it. Next to these words stands the mark of the house.
HEIMERLE + MEULE
The company has borne this name since the second half of the 19th century.

From dust came a name.

Made to last.

The idea of the sweepings works lives on, too: recovering and refining precious metal has been the heart of the house since its founding.

The 100 g Gold Bar by Heimerle und Meule - Your Fortress Against Inflation

When it comes to protecting your wealth, the gold bar is an unparalleled symbol of stability and reliability. The 100 g cast bar by Heimerle und Meule is not only an investment with style, but a piece of financial peace of mind in a world full of economic uncertainties.

A Visual Masterpiece of Pure Gold

The elegance of the 100 g cast bar by Heimerle und Meule is immediately apparent. Its rectangular shape with rounded corners and the gleaming surface bear witness to the highest precision and quality "Made in Germany". The front of the bar proudly displays the weight "100 g" and the purity specification "999.9", indicating an exceptional fineness of 99.99%. The embossed logo of Heimerle und Meule, a synonym for tradition and trust, is emblazoned above the inscription "Fine Gold", while the dimensions of 40 x 20 x 7.5 mm underscore the compact and handy nature of this gold treasure.

The Quality Promise of Heimerle und Meule

As Germany's oldest gold and silver refinery, Heimerle und Meule stands for a heritage that guarantees quality and reliability. Each individual cast bar is unique, characterised by small solidification lines and rounded edges that tell the individual story of each bar. Resistant to scratches, this bar embodies the timelessness of precious metal.

Gold - The Timeless Store of Value

For over 6,000 years, gold has served as a stable store of value and has never reached a value of zero. It is God's money, which has shone for millennia and survived as a currency where others have failed. A physical gold bar is not just a piece of metal, but a piece of history and a promise for the future.

Tax Advantages and VAT-Free

Another decisive advantage is the tax treatment of gold. Profits from the sale of gold are generally tax-free after a one-year holding period. In addition, investment gold is exempt from VAT (Value Added Tax) under §25c UStG, making the 100 g gold bar by Heimerle und Meule an even more attractive investment option.

Gold as an Inflation Hedge and Crisis Protection

In view of global financial uncertainties and the ongoing threat of inflation, the 100 g gold bar is a solid fortress of wealth protection. Gold safeguards your purchasing power while also offering effective crisis protection. It has a low correlation to other asset classes, which plays an important role in diversifying your portfolio.

Gold - The Universal Medium of Exchange

Gold is tradeable worldwide and is recognised as a medium of exchange. Its high liquidity allows you to convert the bar into cash quickly and easily. This attribute is particularly valuable in times when the stability of fiat currencies is called into question.

The Role of Gold in the Global Economy

Gold is held by central banks as a reserve currency and supports the stability of the global financial system. It is a scarce commodity and its availability is limited, which contributes to its long-term value stability. Central banks, the world's largest gold holders, demonstrate through their reserves that they view their own product, fiat money, with a critical eye.

Gold as an Inheritance and Retirement Provision

The 100 g gold bar by Heimerle und Meule can serve as a long-term retirement provision and pass your wealth from generation to generation. It serves as a store of value when confidence in fiat money fluctuates or declines, and retains its physical properties over time.

Summary

The acquisition of a 100 g gold bar by Heimerle und Meule is an investment in permanence and trust. It is a decision in favour of a proven store of value and a secure future in uncertain times. In this sense, the 100 g gold bar is not only a financial investment, but also an investment in one's own well-being and the security of one's own family.
