Dragon Gold Bar 2025, front with the dragon

The dragon’s head faces the viewer from the center of the bar, its body winding across the whole surface.

From the water into the clouds

It lives in the water and rises into the clouds.

Dragons have appeared in Chinese art since Neolithic times. No later than the Han dynasty, from 206 BC to AD 220, they were regarded as beings of water: they live in rivers and seas, fly up into the clouds, govern the weather and bring the life-giving rain.

This is how old books tell it: the dragon’s breath becomes clouds, and the clouds become rain or lightning. In winter it sleeps beneath rivers and ponds, in the first month of spring it rises, and then it thunders, and rain falls.

In China it stands for the beneficence of heaven. The dragons of Europe are mostly winged and breathe fire, while in East Asia the dragon is regarded as a benevolent being, usually without any wings.

“Above all things the dragon in China is a rain-maker.”
Penn Museum of the University of Pennsylvania, 1934

A dragon made of many animals

The antlers of the stag, the scales of the carp.

According to old tradition, the dragon is made up of parts of many animals: the antlers of the stag, the scales of the carp, the claws of the eagle and the body of the snake. Learned Chinese books also name whiskers at the mouth and a luminous pearl beneath the chin.

The magnifying glass reveals how finely the design is struck here.

The legend of the Dragon Gate

The carp, which becomes a dragon.

A legend tells of the Yellow River: a carp that swims upstream through the Dragon Gate becomes a dragon.

In China the image stood for passing the civil service examination. On a Yuan dynasty inkstone in the Metropolitan Museum, the grinding surface and the ink well lie between carp and dragon; their diligent use might well decide success.

The phoenix

Dragon and phoenix, emperor and empress.

On a porcelain plate of the Wanli period in the Metropolitan Museum, the five-clawed dragon is the emblem of the emperor. At its side appears the phoenix, which often stands for the empress.

On a wedding robe from the 1930s in the Victoria and Albert Museum, too, dragon and phoenix form the basic pattern, as the male and female elements of marriage. By tradition, the bride was “empress of the day.”

More companions of the dragon

The emblem of the emperor

From the waves at the hem to the pearl.

An imperial robe of yellow silk from the Qianlong period, shown at the Palace Museum in Beijing in 2019, follows the usual arrangement from bottom to top: water lines form the waves of the ocean, from them rises Mount Kunlun, and at chest height the five-clawed dragon chases the flaming pearl.

The claws mattered: the five-clawed dragon, long, was distinguished from the four-clawed one, mang, which stood for lower ranks.

“Only the emperor and empress were allowed to wear bright yellow.”
Victoria and Albert Museum, London, on a dragon robe of the 18th century

Perfect inflation hedge with a royal face value

What particularly distinguishes this gold bar is its official face value of 100 Australian dollars. This means you enjoy not only the protection offered by the physical gold itself, but also the status of legal tender. This dual protection makes the Dragon bar an ideal building block for securing your wealth.

"Gold is the only currency that has endured for over 6,000 years and has outlasted every storm of history – while countless paper currencies have crumbled to dust."

Why invest in the Dragon gold bar right now?

In times of galloping inflation and growing geopolitical uncertainty, savvy investors are searching for stable assets. The Dragon bar combines several unbeatable advantages:

  1. Tax-free gains: After just one year of holding, your capital gains are completely tax-free – a huge advantage over other forms of investment.
  2. VAT exempt: Gold enjoys VAT-exempt status in Germany, saving you real money on purchase.
  3. Worldwide acceptance: One troy ounce of fine gold is recognized as a store of value everywhere in the world and can be exchanged for local currencies at any time.
  4. Physical ownership: Unlike digital assets, here you hold real, tangible gold in your hands – independent of power outages or system collapses.

The symbolic power of the dragon as crisis protection

In Asian culture, the dragon is regarded as a powerful symbol of strength, wisdom, and prosperity. It was no accident that the Perth Mint chose this powerful motif for its limited edition. Just as the dragon watches over treasures, this gold bar protects your wealth from the dangers of currency devaluation.

The richly detailed design shows the dragon in all its splendor – a coiling body radiating dynamism and movement, while the gold itself stands for permanence and eternal value. This combination makes the bar a sought-after collector's item that holds appreciation potential beyond its pure material value.

Technical perfection meets emotional value

With a fine weight of exactly one troy ounce (31.1 g) and a fineness of 999.9/1,000, this minted bar meets the highest international standards. The Perth Mint not only guarantees authenticity and quality but also lends the product the trust of one of the world's most respected mints.

The "Brilliant Uncirculated" condition means you receive a flawless specimen fresh from the mint. No scratches, no fingerprints – just pure, gleaming gold in its most beautiful form.

Comparison with other investment products

While classic gold bars often come across as plain and functional, the Dragon bar combines the best of both worlds. It offers the advantages of a standardized investment product with the charm and appreciation potential of a collector's coin. Compared to pure bullion coins such as the Krugerrand or the Maple Leaf, it stands out with its strictly limited mintage and elaborate design.

The rectangular bar shape makes storage particularly efficient – several specimens can be stacked space-savingly, which is often more difficult with round coins. At the same time, the size is chosen so that the bar fits easily into common safe sizes.

Your investment in the future

The 1 oz Dragon Gold Bar 2025 is more than just a piece of precious metal – it is your personal insurance against the uncertainties of the future. While central banks around the world are increasing their gold reserves, thereby demonstrating their lack of confidence in their own paper currencies, you too can benefit from this millennia-old wisdom.

Secure your copy of this strictly limited edition today. With only 8,888 pieces worldwide, it's only a matter of time before these coveted bars sell out. Become part of an exclusive group of collectors and investors who know the true value of physical gold.
