Molten gold flows from the crucible into an ingot mould

Heimerle + Meule · Pforzheim

Gold from the Golden City.

It began with the dust of the workshops.

Jewellery has been made in Pforzheim since the 18th century. Wherever there is filing, sawing and polishing, precious metal falls to the floor as fine dust and ends up in the sweepings.

The entrepreneur Julius Dittler founds a sweepings works, a “Kehretsanstalt”, to recover precious metal from production waste.

1845

This is the year the story of Heimerle + Meule begins. To this day, the date appears in the mark of the house.

Inside the works

From scrap to bar.

  1. Old silver, coins and pieces of jewellery slide from a shovel into a glowing crucible

    The scrap

Jewellery, coins, cutlery, dental gold and industrial residues: from these, the house recovers precious metal today.

  2. A melter pours molten metal from the crucible, sparks flying

    The pour

Gold melts at 1,064 degrees Celsius, silver at 962 degrees. The melter pours the molten metal from the crucible into the mould.

  3. Gold and silver bars by Heimerle + Meule on slate

    The bar

At the end comes the finished bar, bearing its weight and fineness. According to the company, the fine metals used are produced in its own refinery.

A house that carries on.

  1. 1945

    In ruins

On 23 February an air raid destroys Pforzheim’s town centre. The company’s building is also lost in the war. Afterwards, it makes a fresh start in the premises of a jewellery and watch factory.

  2. 1977

    The Brötzinger Tal

The company moves out of the town centre to the Brötzinger Tal, a valley that had been filled in after the war, partly with the rubble of the old town. Its headquarters have been there ever since.

  3. 2010

    Bars for investors

Heimerle + Meule launches its investment products division. Today, bars, boxes and cards for investors are part of its range.

  4. 2014

    Good Delivery

On 3 June the London Bullion Market Association admits the company to its Good Delivery List, the register of recognised gold refiners. It has remained on the list since that day.

1g Gold Bar Heimerle und Meule All My Love for Mother's Day FineCard

Bar in a card

Gold you can give as a gift.

A small bar of fine gold, firmly set into a card the size of a credit card.

A gift that is not used up: for a birth, a wedding or simply as a thank-you.

On the bar

What the marks say.

999.9
The fineness in parts per thousand: out of 1,000 parts, 999.9 are pure gold.
1845
The caster. Since 1933 he has been the emblem of the house. In the round stamp, he stands above the year 1845.
melter assayer
The one who melts the metal and the one who tests it. Next to these words stands the mark of the house.
HEIMERLE + MEULE
The company has borne this name since the second half of the 19th century.

From dust came a name.

Made to last.

The idea of the sweepings works lives on, too: recovering and refining precious metal has been the heart of the house since its founding.

Manufacturer: Heimerle + Meule GmbH, gold and silver refinery, Dennigstraße 16, Pforzheim.

1g Gold Bar Heimerle und Meule "Happy Mother's Day" FineCard – genuine investment gold for Mother's Day

  • Investment goal: With gold bars, you protect your wealth exceptionally effectively against creeping currency devaluation.
  • Value preservation: As a reliable store of value, these bars preserve the real value of your savings and let it grow over the years.
  • Protection: Especially in phases of inflation, recession, and runaway government debt, you cushion risks with physical gold.
  • Crisis protection: Small gold bars serve excellently as a means of payment and exchange in an emergency, when other assets falter.

The 1g gold bar from Heimerle und Meule combines a heartfelt occasion with tangible material value. Embedded in the high-quality FineCard in credit-card format is a minted bar made of 999.9 fine gold. The Mother's Day greeting provides the personal touch – the fine gold contained is the actual substance and the reason for the purchase. Despite the heartfelt occasion, here you acquire full-fledged investment gold, whose value is directly based on the current gold price and develops along with it.

The design of the Mother's Day FineCard

In the foreground of the card lies the shiny, rectangular gold bar with the engravings "FINE GOLD 999.9" and "1g". Behind it stretches a heart-shaped board, on which "Happy Mother's Day" is written in white chalk lettering. Colorful tulips in yellow and purple, two small white decorative hearts, and a rustic wooden background round off the warm, family-oriented image. This loving design makes the card a atmospheric setting – however, the real equivalent value in fine gold remains at the center. This way, you give genuine investment gold as a Mother's Day gift: not a mere present, but a lasting asset that makes appreciation tangible and enduring.

Manufacturer Heimerle + Meule – German tradition since 1845

Heimerle + Meule is Germany's oldest active gold and silver refinery, founded in 1845 in the gold city of Pforzheim. On the bar, you can recognize the characteristic logo with the "gold caster" and the year 1845, as well as the English lettering "melter assayer". As a member of the London Bullion Market Association, Heimerle + Meule manufactures its gold bars according to the strict London Good Delivery Standard – the LBMA certification proves the highest purity and guarantees worldwide tradability. The minted bar is protected in a sturdy blister card and is delivered with a certificate of authenticity documenting the details of fineness and weight.

1 gram of fine gold as an entry into physical gold investment

A small gram gold bar is particularly well suited to building wealth in manageable steps. Small amounts of gold add up over the years to a considerable holding. As a proven inflation hedge, gold preserves your purchasing power, while uncovered paper money loses value through the printing press. Gold possesses an inherent, intrinsic value, has never had a value of zero in its more than 6,000-year history, and has been recognized as money since antiquity – from ancient Egypt to the gold standard of the 19th and 20th centuries. It is a scarce good with limited supply, tradable worldwide, and thanks to high liquidity, can be converted back into cash at any time. It is not without reason that central banks hold enormous gold reserves – a clear sign that even the guardians of fiat money rely on the enduring value preservation of gold.

  • 999.9 fine gold: the purest gold in Brilliant Uncirculated quality, without face value and valued purely on the basis of the precious metal.
  • LBMA-certified: manufactured according to the London Good Delivery Standard and recognized worldwide.
  • FineCard: high-quality card in credit-card format (85.6 × 54 × 1 mm) with the Mother's Day design.
  • Certificate of authenticity: documented purity, weight, and origin from German manufacturing.
  • German manufacturer: Heimerle + Meule from Pforzheim, the oldest active refinery since 1845.

Compared to larger denominations, the 1-gram bar offers a low-threshold entry point and maximum divisibility: you can invest in small amounts and flexibly increase your holdings. Larger bars score with a lower premium per gram, while small units like this FineCard can be sold more easily and individually if needed – a noticeable advantage when assets need to be quickly available.

Gold is the oldest currency in the world – it has never had a value of zero and will never lose its shine.

Whether as an entry into gold investment or as a thoughtful addition to your precious metals portfolio: with this bar, you acquire physical fine gold with genuine substance. A particularly beautiful thought for Mother's Day – you give a loved one not a fleeting token of attention, but a tangible investment that can preserve its value across generations. Furthermore, profits from a later sale are generally tax-free after a holding period of at least one year.
