0.5 g Gold Dove of Peace 2026: Investment Gold in Proof Quality, Only 500 Pieces Worldwide

  • Strictly limited: Of this issue made from pure gold, there are only 500 pieces worldwide. That is one-tenth of the quantity minted of the previous year's 0.5 g Dove of Peace.
  • Rarity: A true rarity among small gold coins and at the same time full-fledged investment gold.
  • Investment character: The value is primarily based on 0.5 g of fine gold and moves in line with the gold price. You can trade and sell the coin again at any time.
  • Growth potential: The potential for value appreciation results from the development of the gold price. The limited mintage makes each specimen additionally exclusive.
  • Minting quality: Highest minting quality Proof (PP), executed as a reverse proof with a vivid interplay of mirror-polished and frosted surfaces.
  • Design: A dove of peace in flight with an olive branch in its claws. The value side features a delicate tree of life with a widely branched root system.
  • Material / fineness: 0.5 g fine gold with a fineness of at least 999/1,000. The coin itself bears the inscription "9999 FINE GOLD".
  • Manufacturer: Kettner Edelmetalle, "Symbolism" series.
  • Country of origin: Minted in Germany and officially issued for the Republic of Liberia with a face value of 25 Dollars.

A symbol that everyone understands. Minted in a metal that has outlasted every paper currency. The 0.5 g Gold Dove of Peace 2026 combines both in just 14 millimeters. In appearance, the coin may remind one of a collector's coin. At its core, however, you are holding genuine investment gold. The real reason to buy is not the dove, but the half gram of fine gold. Its value is determined by the gold price traded worldwide.

A Mintage of Only 500 Pieces

Kettner Edelmetalle has deliberately kept the Dove of Peace 2026 scarce. With a mintage of only 500 pieces, it is among the smallest mintages for 0.5-gram coins. A comparison illustrates this: the 0.5 g Gold Dove of Peace 2025 was issued in 5,000 pieces and had a diameter of 11 mm. The 0.5 g Gold Tree of Life 2026 also has a mintage of 5,000 pieces. Due to this very low mintage, each individual specimen is exclusive. This does not change the substance, however. It remains pure fine gold, whose value moves in line with the gold price.

Dove of Peace and Tree of Life: The Design in Detail

On the obverse, a dove spreads its wings wide. Every feather is finely detailed. In its claws, it carries an olive branch with fruits. Since the biblical story of the Flood, this has probably been the world's most famous symbol of peace. In the background, delicate leaf ornaments and strings of pearls wind their way. Along the lower edge is the inscription "0.5 g 9999 FINE GOLD".

The reverse shows a tree of life. Its curved branches end in playful spirals, and its roots dig broadly into the ground. On the left is "25 DOLLARS", on the right the year "20 26", and along the trunk the inscription "Republic of Liberia". The design is finished with a reeded edge. The coincard takes up the theme: it shows painted white doves against a blue-grey background with gold-colored accents. On the back is the motto:

"Where the dove flies, peace grows."

Proof Quality in Reverse Proof Execution

The coin is minted in Proof (PP) quality, the most demanding execution known in coin minting. Mirror-polished dies and carefully prepared blanks ensure a razor-sharp relief. With reverse proof, the classic principle is reversed: the frosted and mirrored surfaces swap roles. This makes the plumage, olive leaves, and tree crown stand out with particular contrast. Our tip: leave the coin in the coincard. This way, the delicate surface stays flawless permanently.

Why Investment Gold in Small Denominations Convinces

Gold is the oldest currency in the world and has been a proven store of value for over 6,000 years. It has intrinsic value, is recognized worldwide, and has never been worthless. It is not without reason that central banks are among the largest holders of gold. Many investors also value the precious metal as an inflation hedge and as crisis protection. Gold does not rust and does not age. Its properties remain the same over years and decades.

Small units like this one make it particularly easy to build up wealth step by step. They can be sold individually, without having to part with an entire large bar at once. They are also well suited for passing on value to the next generation.

Honestly compared: anyone focused solely on the lowest price per gram is more likely to opt for larger bars. The Dove of Peace offers different advantages instead. It is an official coin, elaborately minted in Proof quality, and has a limited mintage. Thanks to its small denomination, entry into physical gold investment is possible even with a small budget.

Give the Gift of Genuine Gold Investment

Whether for a christening, a wedding, a milestone birthday, or Christmas: give more than just a gift item—give a genuine asset. Despite the personal occasion, what you are acquiring here is full-fledged investment gold, that is, minted fine gold whose value is tied to the gold price. Anyone who adds a small piece every year will be amazed how much accumulates over time. Small amounts of gold add up over the years into considerable wealth.
