What lies in the details

The laser leaf with the 26, enlarged from the product photo.

In the field sits a small maple leaf, micro-engraved by laser, with the number 26 for the year of issue. Precise radial lines also run across the field.

A leaf through the decades

  1. 1908

    A home in Ottawa

The Mint in Ottawa is ready in November 1907. Its head, James Bonar, nevertheless waits until the security fence is in place. Striking therefore only begins on 2 January 1908.

  2. 1965

    The leaf on the flag

On 15 February, Canada’s new national flag with the maple leaf is raised on Parliament Hill for the first time. Maple leaves have appeared on Canadian cent coins ever since the 1850s.

  3. 2024

    A new portrait

Since the 2024 issue, the Maple Leaf bullion coins have borne the effigy of King Charles III.

The motif

Leaf and portrait

The red maple
The leaf was designed by the artist Nathalie Lagacé. The Mint describes the red maple as one of the first maples to bud and flower in spring. In the forests of eastern and central Canada, it says, the tree thrives like a living flame.
Two languages
CANADA appears above the leaf. Along the rim, the weight and purity are given in English and French: FINE SILVER and ARGENT PUR.
King Charles III
The portrait was created by Steven Rosati of Montreal. The Mint had invited more than 350 artists for the task.
Facing left
Elizabeth II faced right, the King faces left: by long-standing tradition, the direction of the gaze changes with each monarch.

A country has placed the maple leaf on its flag.

You hold it in silver.

Since 1996, the maple has also been Canada’s national arboreal emblem. Ten species of maple are native to the country, and one of their leaves accompanies you with this coin.

155.52 g fine silver · 999.9/1,000 · Brilliant uncirculated (BU) · Coin capsule

Issuing country: Canada. Since 1969, the Royal Canadian Mint has been a Crown Corporation wholly owned by the Government of Canada.

Every single vein of the iconic maple leaf is masterfully showcased by the brilliant surface – a visual experience that makes collectors' hearts beat faster.

"The Grand Maple Leaf unites centuries-old minting tradition with state-of-the-art security technology – a masterpiece of Canadian coin art."

Advanced Security Meets Timeless Elegance

The Royal Canadian Mint made no compromises with this premiere. Precise radial lines traverse the background like fine rays of sunlight. The micro-engraved maple leaf with the laser year "26" makes every coin a counterfeit-proof original. These technological innovations not only protect your investment – they also underscore Canada's claim as a leading minting nation.

Perfect for Your Wealth Strategy

Silver has proven itself as a reliable store of value over millennia. While paper currencies come and go, the white precious metal retains its intrinsic value. Industrial demand – particularly in electronics, solar, and medical technology – ensures an ever-growing importance. As an inflation hedge, this coin offers exactly what savvy investors seek: substance over empty promises.

  1. Tax-free gains: After just one year of holding, your sale proceeds are completely tax-free
  2. High liquidity: Global recognition guarantees tradability at any time
  3. Generational wealth: Perfectly suited for long-term wealth preservation
  4. Diversification: Low correlation to traditional asset classes

Artistic Mastery in Detail

The obverse features the dignified portrait of King Charles III., masterfully crafted by Steven Rosati. The fine lines and three-dimensional depiction lend the monarch an impressive presence. The portrait is framed by the inscriptions "CHARLES III", "25 DOLLARS" and "2026".

On the reverse, the full splendour of the red maple leaf (Acer rubrum) unfolds. Canadian artist Nathalie Lagacé has created a symbol here that perfectly embodies Canada's connection to nature and adaptability. The detailed engraving makes every leaf vein appear lifelike – a tribute to the beauty of Canadian nature.

Why Invest Right Now?

The limited availability of silver combined with rising industrial demand creates an interesting tension. As a crisis protection asset, silver has always proven its worth in turbulent times. The Grand Maple Leaf combines this security with the fascination of a historic first edition.

Particularly noteworthy: compared to gold, silver is more affordable for many investors, yet offers similar protective properties against economic uncertainties. Its compact size also makes it ideal as a medium of exchange in uncertain times – an aspect that forward-thinking investors appreciate.

"Silver is held by many central banks as a reserve currency – a clear sign of confidence in this precious metal."

Your Chance to Own a Piece of History

The 5 oz Silver Grand Maple Leaf 2026 is more than just a bullion coin. It is a statement of foresight, a commitment to true values, and an investment in timeless beauty. Each coin is delivered in a protective capsule that preserves the flawless Mint State condition for generations.

Secure your example of this groundbreaking new release now. Because one thing is certain: as the first 5-ounce edition of the Maple Leaf series, this coin will take its rightful place in the history of numismatics. A must-have for every serious collector and a wise decision for anyone who wants to build their wealth on a solid foundation.
