Noah’s Ark 2026
40 times the morning at Ararat.

Design side: the ark on the waves, in the foreground a dove with an olive branch, behind it a mountain with two peaks and the rising sun, around it NOAH’S ARK and an Armenian inscription
The mountain
Visible from Yerevan
Anyone who comes to Yerevan can see Ararat rising in the distance. Many houses in the city are built of pink tuff, compacted volcanic ash. At sunrise and sunset, their colour glows brightest.
The mountain is over 5,100 metres high and today lies in Turkey. Beside its main summit stands Little Ararat. On the coin, too, the mountain has two peaks.
The design side
The dove flies towards the ark

In the centre, the ark drifts on the waves, a ship of planks with small windows and a superstructure like a house. From the left comes the dove with outstretched wings, an olive branch in its beak.
Behind it, the sun rises between the two peaks, and its crown of rays fills the whole upper part. Along the top runs the Armenian inscription, and at the bottom right stands NOAH’S ARK.
The design is by Eduard Kurghinyan. It refers to the account of the ark coming to rest on the mountains of Ararat.
The value side
The mountain appears twice on every coin

The value side bears the national coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia. An eagle and a lion support the shield, and at its centre, as the Constitution lays down, stand Mount Ararat and Noah’s Ark.
So every Noah’s Ark coin bears Ararat twice: small in the coat of arms and large as a landscape behind the ark.
The coat of arms goes back to a design by the architect Alexander Tamanian and the painter Hakob Kojoyan.
The first bullion coin of the Central Bank of Armenia
It is issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, which calls the ark the most expressive symbol of Armenian history. In Armenia, the coin is legal tender at its face value.
It is minted in Germany, by Geiger Edelmetalle AG. To the left of the coat of arms is the mint mark, LEV, to the right the weight and fineness, and below the coat of arms the face value in drams and the year.

A Masterpiece of Minting Art with Profound Meaning
The Silver Noah's Ark series is one of the most fascinating silver coins on the international market. Each individual coin tells the moving story of Noah's rescue from the flood. The elaborate design shows the legendary ark majestically floating on stylized waves, while the imposing mountains of Ararat rise in the background.
Particularly striking is the depiction of the dove of peace with the olive branch in its beak – a universal symbol of peace, hope, and new beginnings. The rising sun with its radiant rays above the mountains reinforces this message, turning each coin into a small work of art with deeper meaning.
"The Noah's Ark silver coin combines millennia-old symbolism with state-of-the-art minting technology – a truly timeless investment for generations."
Technical Perfection in Every Detail
With a diameter of 38.60 mm and a fine weight of exactly 31.1035 grams per coin, each specimen corresponds to the international standard of a troy ounce. The satin-finished surface gives the coins a noble, matte appearance that perfectly highlights the fine details of the design. The face value of 500 dram makes them an official means of payment in Armenia.
The practical packaging in sealed coin tubes with a security closure guarantees optimal protection. Each tube is fitted with yellow security seals that ensure the integrity of your investment.
