The designs

The pandas from 2020 to 2026

The Panda has been made in gold since 1982 and in silver since 1983, and since 2016 in grams instead of ounces. The designs of 2019, 2021, 2024 and 2025 show a panda mother with her young. Here are the issues we carry.

  2. The panda of the 2025 issue, image2025The mother with two cubs

  7. The panda of the 2020 issue, image2020A young panda eats bamboo

The other years are shown as silver coins.

The panda

At home in the bamboo, high in the mountains.

Giant pandas live in a few mountain ranges in Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu, in damp, misty mountain forests with dense bamboo, at an altitude of around 1,500 to 3,000 metres.

Around 99 per cent of their food is bamboo, and a panda spends 10 to 16 hours a day finding and eating it. Its “sixth finger” helps with this: not a finger, but an enlarged bone in the wrist that grips like a thumb.

A panda cub is born pink, hairless and blind. It then weighs 85 to 142 grams and is about the size of a stick of butter. Adult pandas mostly live alone and communicate through scent marks and calls.

In gold, from 1 to 30 grams

As a bullion coin, the gold Panda comes in five sizes, with face values from 10 to 500 Yuan.

The Temple of Heaven

On the other side stands the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests.

There the coin shows the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests in the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, with the name of the country in the ring above it and the year below.

The hall is round and has three tiers, with a conical roof. Here the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties prayed for good harvests. The complex was completed in 1420 and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998.

The Gold China Panda series is among the most sought-after gold coins worldwide – and for good reason! With the brand-new 2026 year of issue, the China Mint continues its success story. This small 3-gram treasure combines everything that makes collectors' hearts beat faster and convinces investors.

A Design to Fall in Love With: Pandas in Cozy Togetherness

The design of the 2026 edition shows two panda bears lovingly nestled against one another. Surrounded by artfully crafted bamboo stalks, the scene appears incredibly lifelike. The richly detailed minting lets you make out every single bamboo stalk – a masterpiece of minting artistry! On the reverse, the Temple of Heaven in Beijing rises majestically, a symbol of thousands of years of Chinese culture.

"The annually changing panda designs are not only a visual highlight but can also lead to significant value increases in the collector's market."

Perfect Denomination for Flexible Investment Strategies

With a fine weight of just 3 grams, this coin is ideal for beginners and experienced investors alike. Its small denomination makes it an excellent medium of exchange in uncertain times. While larger gold units are harder to trade, this compact coin offers maximum flexibility.

Why the China Panda Series Is So Special

As the only international gold bullion coin minted in gram units – a unique feature that sets it apart from the Krugerrand, Maple Leaf, or American Eagle. This special characteristic makes it extremely attractive, particularly for the Asian market.

  1. Annually changing designs: No other investment gold offers this variety
  2. Highest minting quality: The China Mint is among the most modern mints in the world
  3. International recognition: Valued and traded worldwide
  4. Collector premiums: Older year-of-issue coins often achieve remarkable prices

Gold as the Ultimate Wealth Protection

In times of rising inflation and economic uncertainty, savvy investors seek stable assets. Gold has proven itself as a reliable store of value for over 6,000 years. Unlike paper money, which can be printed at will, gold is a scarce commodity with limited supply.

The fact that the world's largest gold holders are central banks speaks volumes. They evidently no longer fully trust their own product, fiat money. Gold, on the other hand, has never had a value of zero – it possesses an intrinsic value that exists independently of political decisions or economic crises.

Technical Details That Convince

  • Diameter: A compact 18.00 mm
  • Fineness: An impressive 999/1,000 (24 karat)
  • Face value: 50 Yuan

Taking Advantage of Tax Benefits

Another advantage: gold is exempt from VAT in Germany! In addition, profits from the sale of gold are completely tax-free after a minimum holding period of one year. These tax benefits make gold an even more attractive form of investment.

The 3g Gold China Panda 2026 is more than just a coin – it is a piece of history, a work of art, and a smart investment all in one. Whether as a gift, for your own collection, or as a crisis-proof investment: this small gold coin offers great possibilities. Secure your own example now and benefit from the unique combination of collector's value and investment potential!
