The pandas from 2020 to 2026
The Panda has been made in gold since 1982 and in silver since 1983, and since 2016 in grams instead of ounces. The designs of 2019, 2021, 2024 and 2025 show a panda mother with her young. Here are the issues we carry.

The panda
At home in the bamboo, high in the mountains.
Giant pandas live in a few mountain ranges in Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu, in damp, misty mountain forests with dense bamboo, at an altitude of around 1,500 to 3,000 metres.
Around 99 per cent of their food is bamboo, and a panda spends 10 to 16 hours a day finding and eating it. Its “sixth finger” helps with this: not a finger, but an enlarged bone in the wrist that grips like a thumb.
A panda cub is born pink, hairless and blind. It then weighs 85 to 142 grams and is about the size of a stick of butter. Adult pandas mostly live alone and communicate through scent marks and calls.

The Temple of Heaven
On the other side stands the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests.
There the coin shows the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests in the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, with the name of the country in the ring above it and the year below.
The hall is round and has three tiers, with a conical roof. Here the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties prayed for good harvests. The complex was completed in 1420 and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998.

What the coin bears
The side with the panda bears the weight, the fineness and the face value in Yuan. The issuer is the People’s Bank of China, the country’s central bank.
On this coin it is 100 Yuan.

While central banks worldwide are increasing their gold reserves, thereby demonstrating their waning trust in their own paper currencies, you too can benefit from the millennia-old value retention of this precious metal. Gold has never lost its value – on the contrary: it has served as the ultimate store of value for over 6,000 years.
Passion for Collecting Meets Investment Acumen
The China Panda series appeals to both sides: the collector, who looks forward to new, artistic designs year after year, and the investor, who relies on sustainable value development. The combination of limited mintage, annually changing designs, and the highest minting quality makes every edition a potential collector's item with appreciation potential beyond the pure gold value.
