The designs

The pandas from 2020 to 2026

The Panda has been made in gold since 1982 and in silver since 1983, and since 2016 in grams instead of ounces. The designs of 2019, 2021, 2024 and 2025 show a panda mother with her young. Here are the issues we carry.

The other years are shown as silver coins.

The panda

At home in the bamboo, high in the mountains.

Giant pandas live in a few mountain ranges in Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu, in damp, misty mountain forests with dense bamboo, at an altitude of around 1,500 to 3,000 metres.

Around 99 per cent of their food is bamboo, and a panda spends 10 to 16 hours a day finding and eating it. Its “sixth finger” helps with this: not a finger, but an enlarged bone in the wrist that grips like a thumb.

A panda cub is born pink, hairless and blind. It then weighs 85 to 142 grams and is about the size of a stick of butter. Adult pandas mostly live alone and communicate through scent marks and calls.

In gold, from 1 to 30 grams

As a bullion coin, the gold Panda comes in five sizes, with face values from 10 to 500 Yuan.

The Temple of Heaven

On the other side stands the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests.

There the coin shows the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests in the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, with the name of the country in the ring above it and the year below.

The hall is round and has three tiers, with a conical roof. Here the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties prayed for good harvests. The complex was completed in 1420 and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998.

A Masterpiece from the China Mint with Exceptional Purity

With an impressive fineness of 999/1,000, this gold coin ranks among the purest bullion coins in the world. The China Mint, one of Asia's most respected mints, guarantees the highest quality and precision. The 32 mm diameter provides ample space for the detailed depiction of the two pandas, framed by artistically designed bamboo branches.

"Gold is the oldest currency in the world – and the China Panda series combines this timeless value stability with collector-friendly designs that change every year."

Why the China Panda Series Is So Popular Among Investors

The Gold China Panda series stands out due to several unique characteristics:

  1. Metric System: As the only major gold bullion coin measured in the metric system – a practical advantage for European investors
  2. Annually Changing Designs: Since 1982, a new, lovingly crafted panda design has been released every year
  3. High Liquidity: Worldwide recognition and tradability
  4. Tax Advantages: Profits from the sale are tax-free after a one-year holding period
  5. VAT Exemption: Gold coins are exempt from VAT in Germany

The Perfect Building Block for Securing Your Wealth

In times of economic uncertainty, more and more people are looking for stable investments. Gold has proven itself as a reliable store of value for over 6,000 years. While paper currencies come and go, the precious metal retains its intrinsic value. Incidentally, the largest gold holders in the world are the central banks themselves – a clear sign that even the guardians of paper money do not fully trust their own product.

The 30g Gold China Panda 2026 is ideally suited as:

  • Long-term retirement provision with tangible value
  • Protection against gradual currency devaluation
  • Crisis currency for uncertain times
  • Collector's item with potential for value appreciation
  • Gift for special occasions

Technical Details That Impress

With a face value of 500 Yuan, this coin is official legal tender in China. The People's Bank of China limits the mintage to a maximum of 500,000 pieces. This may initially seem high, but given worldwide demand, this number quickly becomes relative.

The Brilliant Uncirculated quality and secure sealing guarantee that you receive a flawless specimen. The "Brilliant Uncirculated" grade means that the coin comes directly from the mint and shows no signs of wear whatsoever.

Your Investment in Real Value

Gold has shone for thousands of years and will never lose its luster. It protects you from loss of purchasing power and offers low correlation to other asset classes. While fiat money can be multiplied at will, gold remains a scarce commodity with limited supply.

"Gold has never had a value of zero – unlike countless paper currencies that have become worthless throughout history."

The 30g Gold China Panda 2026 combines all the advantages of a modern bullion coin: the highest purity, international recognition, tax benefits, and a charming design that makes collectors' hearts beat faster. Secure this gleaming piece of Chinese minting artistry for your portfolio today!
