Why as a collection
Put together, not hunted down.
Anyone collecting a subject one piece at a time buys whatever happens to be in stock. Older years, small mintages and strikes from other countries turn up later, or never again.
- One common thread
- The pieces were chosen for a subject, not for what happened to be available.
- A subject closed
- Instead of filling gaps over time, the subject stands whole from the first day.
- No hunting needed
- Gathering what lies together here one piece at a time costs time and attention over years.
What the additions in the name mean.
These terms appear in the article names of the collections. They describe how a coin was made.
- Proof
- The most elaborate way of striking. The die is polished, the field of the coin mirrors, the motif stands matt on top of it.
- Antique finish
- The finished strike is treated afterwards until it looks dark and uneven, like a piece that lay in the ground for a long time.
- High relief
- The motif stands noticeably higher above the field than usual. For that the coin passes through the press several times.
- Partial gilding
- A thin layer of gold is applied to parts of a silver coin so that single areas stand out.
Collecting usually takes years.
Here everything is together on day one.
Different mints, different years, different formats. Gathered one by one, that would be the work of many evenings.

Christmas Nostalgia Collection – eight golden Christmas moments in one set
Do you remember the scent of fir branches, rosy-cheeked Santa Clauses on old advertising posters, and the glowing star above the Christmas tree? The Christmas Nostalgia Collection captures exactly these images and preserves them in genuine fine gold. Eight carefully selected gold bars and gold coins together form a set that appeals to collectors and investors alike. In total, the collection contains 1.47 g of pure gold, spread across eight festive designs.

Nostalgia you can hold in your hand
The collection opens with two classics of Christmas advertising. The Coca-Cola Santa Claus coin shows the warmly smiling Santa Claus with the famous contour bottle. It is designed entirely in the style of the illustrations Haddon Sundblom painted for Coca-Cola starting in 1931, which continue to shape our image of Santa Claus to this day. It is presented on a collector's card styled after a historic advertising poster: "Coca-Cola – For you", along with a Santa greeting card reading "from Santa". Its counterpart is the Coca-Cola Truck coin. The festively lit truck has been announcing the start of the Christmas season since the television commercials of the 1990s – here it rolls across the coin's surface in the finest gold.
The Gold Guardian Angel coin has a calmer, almost reverent feel. Its design, a dreamy putto on a cloud bank with the inscription "Guardian Angel", is based on Raphael's famous "Sistine Madonna". Just like the Santa Claus edition, this mini gold coin is minted by the Swiss mint Valcambi and issued by the Republic of Chad with a face value of 3,000 CFA francs. The Gold Star Shaped Coin, on the other hand, comes from Gabon (face value 1,000 CFA francs) and is likewise produced by Valcambi. The multi-pointed, three-dimensionally faceted Christmas star catches the light – and with this shape it stands out clearly from any classic round coin.
The Gold Christmas Tree coin completes the selection. It bears the year of issue 2026, is struck from 999.9 fine gold, and is limited to 50,000 pieces.
The bars: from Pforzheim to Ticino
The two 1/200 oz gold bars are presented with particular care. They bear the inscription "FINE GOLD 999.9" and the hallmark of Heimerle + Meule, the historic refinery from Pforzheim. Each of these small bars sits within a frame featuring a wood-toned silhouette, one shaped like a reindeer and the other like a decorated Christmas tree. In this way, a very small amount of gold becomes an eye-catching centerpiece on the festive table.
The heaviest piece in the collection is the 1g gold bar "Frohes Fest" by Valcambi. The obverse features a festively decorated Christmas tree with presents and snowflakes. The reverse bears the inscription "1 g GOLD 999.9" along with Valcambi's hallmark "ESSAYEUR FONDEUR". Valcambi is one of the world's most renowned LBMA-certified precious metals processors, standing for precision and worldwide recognition.
Why small gold is a big idea
Gold is humanity's oldest currency. It has outlasted kingdoms and countless paper currencies, retaining an intrinsic, globally recognized value at all times. This is exactly what makes it such a special Christmas gift: sweets get eaten and toys are forgotten, but gold remains.
As a physical tangible asset, gold protects against inflation and loss of purchasing power, offers security in times of crisis, and can be traded worldwide. Small denominations like those in this collection offer a particular advantage: they are flexible. Anyone who only wants to sell part of their gold doesn't have to part with an entire ounce at once. In Germany, profits from the sale of physical gold are generally tax-free after a holding period of more than one year.
Gold has been shining for thousands of years – and it won't lose its shine under future Christmas trees either.
Set, individual gold coin, or silver? An honest comparison
Anyone looking to acquire as much gold as possible for their money will opt for larger formats such as a 1-ounce gold coin or a 100 g bar, since the premium per gram is lower there. The Christmas Nostalgia Collection has its strengths elsewhere: it combines investment gold with a wide variety of designs, collector's value, and genuine Christmas spirit. What's more, each piece can be given individually as a gift – for example as an Advent surprise, tucked into a Christmas stocking, or as a small golden greeting attached to a gift package.
Anyone who also appreciates the bright shine of silver during the festive season will find a wonderful complement in our silver coins. Gold and silver go together in a precious metals portfolio just as well as red and green on the Christmas tree.
Who is this collection suited for?
- For gift-givers who want to give something lasting rather than fleeting at Christmas.
- For collectors of themed coins, shaped coins, and mini gold coins.
- For beginners who want to build up their gold holdings in small, easily divisible units.
- For families who want to introduce children and grandchildren to the fascination of precious metals early on.
