An eagle that looks as though a porcelain painter created it with a fine brush. The Porcelain Eagle 2026 transfers the timeless aesthetic of blue-and-white decor onto one ounce of fine silver in the minting year 2026. Among silver coins with collector appeal, this coin is a true eye-catcher: vibrant in color, rich in detail, and limited to a tiny number of pieces.

An important note upfront: no real porcelain is used on the coin. The strikingly authentic porcelain look is created solely through artful coloring and partial gold plating – this does not affect the coin's fine silver in any way.

✔ Obverse: The Eagle in a Dive

With wings widely spread, the bird of prey swoops diagonally down through the coin's field. Its talons are stretched forward, its beak open, its gaze fixed on its target. Every feather appears glazed: white base surfaces overlaid with cobalt-blue peonies, leaves, and fine vines running across wing and breast. Golden contours line the feather tips, while the beak and talons gleam in rich gold. Behind it, blue floral vines wave against a light background – almost like the decor of a precious vase. Along the lower edge, the inscription \"1 OZ 9999 FINE SILVER 2026\" runs in golden letters.

✔ Reverse: Two Eagles, One Vase

The second side is entirely different. It is symmetrical, composed almost heraldically: two eagles sit facing each other, with a bulbous blue-and-white vase bearing an opulent bouquet of peonies between them. Baroque acanthus volutes with golden edges and large peony blossoms frame the scene. On the right, the denomination \"20 DOLLARS\" runs along the edge, and at the bottom, the coat of arms of the issuing country, Liberia, appears in small form. A gilded rim ring frames both sides, and the coin's edge itself is reeded. The silver coin is delivered in a case whose design stylishly picks up on the porcelain theme.

✔ Porcelain Art as Inspiration

Blue-and-white porcelain is among the world's most famous crafts. It experienced its great flourishing in China under the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644), when cobalt blue was painted onto white porcelain in the workshops of Jingdezhen. Europe followed suit: in 1708, porcelain was first successfully produced in Saxony, and in 1710 the first European porcelain manufactory was founded in Meissen – its crossed swords still appear in cobalt blue to this day. The Porcelain Eagle combines this tradition with one of the oldest heraldic symbols of all. Anyone who already owns the Porcelain Panda from our range will find the eagle to be its fitting counterpart – this time from the \"Birds\" series.

✔ Finished in Germany – Layer by Layer

After minting, the base coin is further processed by a specialized facility in Germany, exclusively for Kettner Edelmetalle. Several technical processes interlock in this process. The rim ring, beaks, talons, and feather contours are partially gold-plated, and a multi-layered coloring in radiant white and deep cobalt blue is added. For every ornament to sit exactly on the raised surfaces, the utmost precision is required. The manufacturer designation refers to the coin itself, not to the finishing.

✔ Why 100 Pieces Make the Difference

Classic bullion coins such as the American Silver Eagle or the Maple Leaf are produced in mintages running into the millions. This makes them well known worldwide and easy to trade – but it does not make them rare. With the Porcelain Eagle, the opposite is true. With a mintage of only 100 pieces, it belongs to the true micro-series, and such an extremely low mintage remains the exception even among artfully designed motif coins. The strict limitation is the real core of this rarity: once the pieces are gone, the mintage cannot be increased.

For context: the price of such a piece primarily reflects craftsmanship, finishing, and rarity, not just the metal value. Anyone looking for pure investment silver at the daily price is well served by bullion coins. Anyone looking for a collector's piece with character and noticeable potential for value appreciation, on the other hand, has found exactly the right item here.

Cobalt blue, gold, and radiant white – united on one troy ounce of fine silver, of which only 100 pieces exist worldwide.

✔ A Noble Metal with a Long Tradition

As clearly as the collector's value is at the forefront here, the material itself remains noble. Silver has accompanied humanity for millennia as a coinage metal, was regarded in many cultures as a sign of wealth and prestige, and retains its physical properties across generations. Its importance for electronics, solar, and medical technology also gives it a solid intrinsic value. Many precious metals enthusiasts also value physical silver as a building block for inflation hedging and crisis protection – however, with this piece, the joy of collecting takes center stage. Good to know: profits from the sale of silver are generally tax-free, provided the holding period is at least one year.
