3 coins, 3 moments of the Little Prince.

Proof quality on all three coins: the field reflects deep black, and the prince stands out in matt. Each stop shows a different coin, each with its own moment.

The case

Prince, rose and fox outside, a night sky with migrating birds inside.

On the white lid, a watercolour: the prince with open arms and a red scarf on a cloud, above him birds, stars and a crescent moon, on the right the rose under the glass globe and the fox, in the middle in gold lettering “Der kleine Prinz”. Inside, a blue night sky through which birds fly on long strings. The three coins lie in it.

On the front, the prince holds the strings of the migrating birds; on the back he lies on his asteroid, beside him the rose under the glass globe, above him the full moon. On coin 1 he floats between planets on the back, on coin 2 he sits by his rose and looks up at a biplane.

3 coins tell of his journey. The Little Prince 2026 in a 3-piece gold set.

The Little Prince comes from the book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It was published in New York in 1943 and in France in 1946, and it has been translated into more than 600 languages.

The Little Prince in Fine Gold – 2026 Set of 3 in Proof Quality

  • Investment substance: Three coins made of pure gold, totalling around 0.47 g of fine gold, whose value is based on the gold price
  • Material / fineness: Each coin contains 1/200 ounce of fine gold with a purity of 999.9/1,000. Investment gold can hardly get any purer than this.
  • Strictly limited: Only 250 sets of this edition were minted worldwide
  • Minting quality: The highest quality level, Proof (PP), with a mirrored field and finely frosted relief
  • Design: Six different scenes on the obverse and reverse sides: rose, fox, migratory birds, asteroid and a biplane in the sky
  • Manufacturer: Kettner Edelmetalle
  • Country of origin: Germany, issued for the Republic of Liberia with a face value of 25 dollars each

Since 1943, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's story "The Little Prince", originally titled "Le Petit Prince", has accompanied generations of readers around the globe. This set of three coins brings the boy from asteroid B 612 into the world of precious metals. Important to note: here you are not buying a mere collector's item, nor a pure collector's coin whose value depends solely on enthusiasts. You are acquiring genuine investment gold in one of the smallest denominations available among gold coins. The design gives the investment its personal touch. The actual substance is the fine gold.

Three coins, six moments from the universe of the Little Prince

Both sides of each coin show a unique image. Against the dark, mirrored starry sky, the figures stand out in matte relief with striking depth. This contrast is only achievable through minting in Proof (PP).

  1. Coin 1: On the side bearing the weight and fineness details, the Prince spreads his arms on his crater-covered asteroid, his cloak billowing in the starry wind. The reverse shows him weightless among foreign planets, alongside "25 Dollars" and "Republic of Liberia".
  2. Coin 2: Here the Prince holds his beloved rose in his hand, with the fox sitting at his feet, a star shining above them both. On the reverse, he sits beside the rose under its glass dome, gazing up at a biplane — a reference to the pilot the Prince meets in the desert.
  3. Coin 3: A flock of migratory birds carries the Prince on his journey, tied with fine strings. This is how Saint-Exupéry himself described his departure from his home planet. The reverse shows him lying relaxed on the asteroid, with the rose under its glass dome and a full moon.
"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye." – So says the fox. When it comes to gold, however, the essential thing is plain to see: 999.9 parts fine gold out of 1,000.

Full-value investment gold, gram for gram

Gold is humanity's oldest currency. Even in ancient Egypt it served as a measure for trade, and it has outlasted every paper currency ever since. For over 6,000 years it has been regarded as a proven store of value. Its value has never fallen to zero, because it rests on the metal itself rather than on a government's promise. Its supply is limited, whereas fiat money can be multiplied at will. It fits the picture that central banks around the world are among the largest holders of gold.

This set follows exactly this principle. Its appreciation potential is tied to the gold price and thus to the market value of the fine gold it contains. Gold is in demand worldwide, highly liquid, and can be quickly converted back into cash when needed. Many also value it as a reliable inflation hedge and as a building block for personal crisis protection. Incidentally: if you hold your gold as a private individual for at least one year, any profit from its sale is generally tax-free.

Limitation as a bonus, fine gold as the foundation

With a mintage of only 250 pieces, this set is a genuine rarity. By comparison, other 1/200-ounce issues for Liberia are often minted with 2,500 pieces. The strict limitation makes this set especially exclusive. Yet its lasting value is carried by the gold itself.

In comparison: small denomination, great impact

The Little Prince has already appeared as a gold coin from the Monnaie de Paris in France. In 2015, for instance, a 1/4-ounce coin in 920 gold and a one-ounce coin in 999.9 gold were issued, limited to 1,000 pieces. Such ounce coins contain more gold but require a significantly larger budget. This set of three, on the other hand, is already available for a small amount and can be split into individual coins if needed. In return, the premium per gram is higher than with larger coins or bars. Those seeking an even more affordable option may turn to silver. But gold remains the big brother of little silver: more compact, more durable, and retaining its shine for centuries.

Give the gift of real gold investment: for a christening, a birth, or Christmas

Many people associate the Little Prince with childhood, friendship and responsibility. That's why this set is a popular gift for christenings, birthdays or weddings. Despite the personal occasion, what you are acquiring here is full-value investment gold: minted fine gold whose value is based on the gold price. For safekeeping, the three coins come in a presentation case. Those who add a little gold each year build up considerable wealth over time, which can be passed down from generation to generation.
